i grow in soil. i used to use the ff liquid trio without solubles. it was good. then i tried jack's classic for bloom. it was better. i now use dyna-gro (yes, in soil) and i believe it blows ff out of the water, and the price of it is jaw-droppingly low compared to most hydro store nutes, and they offer sample sizes of all their products for about 6 bucks so you don't have to break the bank to try it out. i think it could be years before i try something else. i think this stuff is just magic.

I have done FF full line, also done all organic soil with amendments only (super soil style) and now I am trying Earth Juice out. Loving the EJ so far. You have to get used to some scummy slime in your water bubbler but besides that it's an awesome soil fert. I have been using it with a super soil lite recipe and it's really amazing me with the rapid growth.

For hydro the GH stuff has always been really great though the final product is a little bland. If I ever go hydro again I will try EJs organic hydro line.

GH Floranova.

This stuff is the shit. 1 part formula that works wonders, couldn't be easier. The only other thing you need is Calmag+ if you're using RO (distilled) water. I always have to shake my head and laugh when I see how many products some people use, especially the Advanced users.

I can't really comment as to which brand has worked best for me. I say that because in my relatively short time growing (and learning) my growing environment and techniques have continually improved, so regardless of nutes my results have been better every time.

That said though, as a beginner grower growing Dutch Passion's "Brainstorm" I found Schultz's 10-15-10 liquid plant food worked surprisingly well for vegging on a tight budget. Or...I guess I should say, given my minimal knowledge at the time it appeared to work well. I'd imagine it wasn't overly impressive though, really. I then came across two half-full bottles of DNF's two part grow mix through a friend and started mixing minimal amounts of that in for some much needed Nitrogen. Worked fantastic, no doubt about it this time. My inexperienced self used no additives at all for bloom though, and in turn got some fairly disappointing results. Not horrible, but by no means good.

Next grow, same strain.
I switched to the General Hydroponics Flora series and was given a sample of Advanced Nutrients Big Bud powder and had some impressive results come harvest time.

Next, next grow. Again, growing the same Brainstorm.
Out of curiosity I tried AN's 3 part base nutrients alongside Bud Ignitor, Big Bud, Overdrive and Bud Candy. My flowering results were, as would be expected, hands above my previous grow in terms of quality/potency but the overall growth while vegging seemed, for whatever reason, to be lacking when compared to the GH Flora stuff.

I'm now on my 5th (almost 6th) generation of Brainstorm and am getting phenomenal results. Here's what I've finally settled on (at least for this strain).

VEG:
SuperThrive in very minimal amounts following cloning/rooting/the occasional repotting
GH Flora - micro, grow, bloom
AN's Bud Candy - like 2mL/gal. I have no real reasoning for it, just figure it can't exactly hurt. (someone correct me if I'm wrong please)
AN's SensiZym - free from a friend. Likely won't buy again when it runs out but it is definitely effective, no question.
AN's Bud Ignitor - the final week of veg only, not from the start. I use it to 'jumpstart' the flowering following the 12/12 switch

FLOWER:
GH Flora - micro, grow, bloom
AN's Bud Candy
AN's Bud Ignitor - weeks 1-2
AN's Big Bud - weeks 3-7
AN's Overdrive - weeks 7-8

then flush come week 9.

I'm not committed to AN in the least, they just happen to be working for me. I'm thinking when I switch up my strains (very shortly) I will give something else a shot.

EDIT:
I grow in soil. Heavily leaning towards Superponics for my White Widows though.

the moose i just got my line of canna nutes on the back of the bottels it read "15ml;us galon) so i been using 10ml.. vega A+B would you sugguest lowering it abit or what strangth do you use it at? canna has some micros but im thinking of budcandy along with my canna line still researching tho; currently yesterday was my first water with my canna veg a and b and for my flower room the canna bloom a and b. all at 10ml a gal so we shal see how this goes!

Just curious...I've read a bunch of threads about nutes and it seems like alot of people bash on AN products. Is that just because of cost or is it a lack-luster product line? I'm going Organic Hydro and was considering their full line of organics but if it's just 'OK' then I'll pass and find something else that would do just as good or better for half the cost. And if anyone has a awesome 'recipe' for organic hydro that they are willing to share I'd GREATLY appreciate it!!

Have a full line up of Advanced nutrients,General hydroponics, botanicare, grotek, house and garden and dutch master gold.
In line of the best to the worst...By far... 1. Advanced Nutrients. 2. House and Garden. 3. Botainicare. 4. Dutch master gold and grotek.....And the crap of the group..by far...5. General hydroponics. Everything is better with the Advanced line up...Bigger, heavier, better tasting, more sites..... Line for flowering.... Connoiseur A B, Bud Blood, Bud candy, Big bud, sensizym,
voodoo juice, rhino skin, bud factor x, overdrive and final phase.. Is this line more money...Yes it is. But what are you doing this for? To get the best you can get? The most from what you are doing? In the fastest time? Very simple then..Advanced nutrients... House and garden roots excellurator is the bomb for root juice. This is for aeropoincs system. Drip clean from house and garden is great as well helping to keep your system clean. Have used ALL these line ups more then two or ten times, and each time...Same thing, just a bit more and better everytime.

personalli i think advance nutrients are over priced imo. for soil i use peters dynamic duo which works wonders let me tell ya. ive also used for soil pura vida organic and that stuff is great but a bit pricey where as the dynamic duo is only about 5 dollars for a 1lb container so i end up spending 10 plus shipping which is another 10, in total i pay 20$ for real good nutes. ANd for hydroponic i simply jacks hydroponic nutrients with some calcium nitrate when its time to flower, but when in veg i simply use gh lucas formula (cheap but with very good results). oh and i also foliar spray mines as well with a special mix i have............. here are a few pics of what im working with now in dwc, its only been 3 weeks (thursday) still have about 4 or 5 weeks left...... oh and this is with jacks hydroponic nutes + calcium nitrate
