make your own soilless mix 1/3 peat moss 1/3 vermiculite 1/3 perlite, potting soil's can lead to nutrient problem's,
this mix is fool proof, and you can add your nute's as you please, miracle grow etc. been pre fortified with nutrients
can cause all sort's of problems, you may need to correct the ph of your soil with some lime other than that it's as
easy as mixing it,check th ph of the peat first anything between 6.2 and just below 7 is good ;) mirtaqcle grow is only good
for about 4 to 6 weeks and doesn't give you the proper nute ratio's for flowering, most soil growers use a soilless mix for this reason

hands down, fox farms ocean forrest.
I agree too many people praise this stuff for it to be bad. Im sure some soil made yourself could be a little better look at subs soil he doesnt even have to add nutes. But if your looking for pre packaged soil no way mg can compare to ocean forrest I dont care what the other guy is telling you. He has to be the first person I seen comparing mg to ff. And no Im not flaming you, mg can be used but to compare it to ff Im sorry I cant believe that until I see the pics or try it myself. But what i will flame you on is tripple and double posting seriously let the effects wear off a little and collect all your thoughts into one post and try hitting the space bar in the middle of yourwords cause itsvery hard toread something thatistyped like this.

you only get nute burn on soilless mix by overfeeding and not flushing properly, flush at the end of the veg cyclce, quick flush 3 weeks into flowering, and then plain water for the last 1 - 2 weeks depending on
what you like to do i do 10 days it's a personal choice

yea do what he say i do it and its full proof

yeah im new to growing but been a long time toker. so i just wanna start out safe and SIMPLE. Lol ive been hearing about alot of nute burn from peoples mixtures. or u have to stay on top of it and always be super aware of what is going on with it. Is miracle grow. a safe medium. until im more advanced in growing.

Nope nothing simple about miracle grow, soilless mix is what is recommended for new growers as it is the easiest to controll,
if you over feed no problem just flush the soil, with miracle grow you over feed and it's trouble as the nutes in it are time released
and are based on the growing cycles of average garden plant's not weed, most grow guides recommend that new growers start out with a soilless mix
and i would go with that i am still using it and am growing years now,and besises some overfeeding issues at the beginning i have found it easy to maintain, just
mix your nute's right, and don't over feed and you'll be fine, plus there is a certain pleasure in knowing that you did it all yourself ;)

Really doesn't matter. Its the care given.

I've posted this a few times. Did a FF vs PM vs MG. all clones from same mother. MG gave biggest yield. But only by 5-10%.
So since the MG is cheaper, and don't have to buy nutes, I'm all for the MG.
(all the soils got a little tweak with some lime, perlite, etc)

peat is rather acidic, so if yo use it, watch the pH before even planting in it.
