Theres a story in the bible, and it starts like this.



Job was a hard working, nice, and god loving man.
day after day he praised god and thanked him for being so wealthy, and having such a beautiful family.

so one day, the devil goes to god, and says "Job only praises you, and loves you because of all you have given him! If you were to take it away, he would stop following you!"
so god got a brilliant idea! He was going to prove the devil wrong!!!

first god started out by completely destroying Jobs business he has worked on his entire life.
After doing so god says "see, he still worships me!" But the devil disagreed yet again.

so God went for another solution, and this was that he sent a wind that made a house crash down, but inside the house, was Jobs entire family.. they all died
again god said "see, he still worships me!!!" , devil just disagreed again!!

Lastly god got the idea that would be icing on the cake! He plagued Job with terrible and hideous BOILS!


So god did prove his point, after completely destroying a mans life and pushing him to the edge of nothingness, just so he can tell the devil "told you so! HA HA HA"

I had to prove this part of the bible to a christian that didn't believe it was in there,Im an atheist and seem to know religion/myths and beliefs better than most that actually follow the b/s,I like to learn how it all relates and all comes from the same origin story,that has been Chinese whispered around the world,just like Christianity has done itself.

Also God only did it as the devil told him too?,if god is all knowing he wouldnt get tricked by lucifer would he?

Except the reason Religion even exists is basically to explain how this all got here, and now we're starting to understand...Religion and God's are directly related

They are not stories more than Fox news is News. What does your fail interpretation of the bible have to do with starting a new thread for intelligent reasons? god is a scandinavian word.originally it was used about characters such as thor and odin.the deity of the bible is called jehova.in the opinion of humans, there have been many gods and many One gods.jehova is just one of a multitude (why do you think of the 10 commandments (the only rules in existence ;)) say , first of all, worship only jehova, not other gods (the priests of jehova´s are admitting that there are other gods and that they would be jelous if you worshipped them (worship is power and money, what are donations today, used to be tithes (10% of everything tax, paid yearly)bit silly calling jehova god (As in The god)when its just an irrational primitive´s man idea of an supreme being (supreme, yet needs armies and dolls to play with..)

In the jewish faith alone there are +/- 613 mitzvot (laws/sins) some of omission some of comission. they are all believed to have descended from the first ten, having been expounded on by men making sure God had it all right.

Firstly God did not do those things to Job. He allowed Satan to do those things because Satan didn't believe someone who had faith in God and had a very comfortable life, would still have faith if all his worldly possessions were taking away. No matter what Satan did Job continued to have faith. So Satan then tells God if you take away his health Job will curse you. So Job than gets boils all over his body. Even then he did not curse God. Job had faith all the way to end. Job proved to Satan that not all people who believe in God, stripped of comfortable things, would curse God.

In the end God gave him more then what had lost earlier and lived another 140 years...
op you fail to realize the moral of the story and it seems like you don't know the story all to well so before you start talking shit, you should get your facts together.
