The Black by BC Bud Depot

A 90% Indica developed by BC Bud Depot I think this strain is my new favorite! Some plants turn almost entirely black thus it's namesake. Grown legally at friend's house in the great state of Colorado the cold climate helped to bring out the colors a little in this one but I have seen them almost completely black. The hairs turned a pretty dark brown few weeks before it was ready for harvest. Probably could have grown another week actually the trichomes were clear and some were just starting to bend but so much rain this year there was some issues with bud rot on his Jock Horror so it wasn't worth the risk. The BC Bud website says this strain was also a High Times Top 10 Strain of the Year in '08 and a competitor in the Spannabis Cup in Barcelona, Spain. Personally I'm surprised it hasn't won 1st place in any competitions. Not sure what place it got in the top 10. It kicks in immediately and has a narcotic type of high. Great for before bed and very good for pain management. I don't smoke so the high effects is from what my friend says. Has a great spicy taste. Smells absolutely incredible. Sadly BC Bud keeps the genetics a secret besides 90% Indica/10% Sativa. I would love to know what strains were used to breed this wonder plant, maybe purple kush?

i used to smoke but I got prescribed pain killers in the military and ended up a big time heroin addict. Been clean 7 yrs now and although I don't consider weed to be addictive I haven't gone back to it just in case. I absolutely love growing and playing with genetics and I have family I can stay with in Colorado so I just grow for fun. Should be legal where I live too pretty soon.

One of my other favorite strains is Full Moon it's a Sativa sourced from Thailand and has somewhat of a psychedelic high. I grew that many yrs ago but just found out Nirvana quit breeding that strain which is a damn shame and I really don't understand why as it was really incredible it had amazing genetics.

Yea I miss full moon too, I grew that in 2011 and it's unavailable everywhere. Closest I've had was golden tiger with the more thai dominant phenotypes.

I know it was the first strain I ever grew I'd guess it was the summer of 2010 I loved that strain so much it cross breeds nice too has really strong genetics. i'll have to try the golden tiger. i know someone with 5 feminized full moon seeds but they are old so IDK if they would pop. Would be nice to keep a clone of it growing at all times.

I heard there was some festival which is based on the moon, some village where they sourced the landrace, can't seem to find anything atm.

i like what the one review said on there, "Just like Chocolope, Full Moon is a legend. Many don’t know about it, but if they did, Full Moon would be everywhere".
