Big Indica leaves:

The pics are at 2 weeks after sprouting, 2 weeks 3 days and at 3 weeks. I started two seeds in dirt, the same day I started the seeds in the cubes. Notice the
diference.

Root Pics, the discoloration is from the shadowing, the roots are very white.

I cut 2/3s of the roots off that plant and it thrived after I transplanted it.
And in the other pic, you can see it, and the trunk of the plant was bigger than the cube was when I started it. Look at all those stalks!
People are worrying too much about the cubes.

Ignorant people say you can not grow coke can colas with CFLs.
Bullshit!

Harvested:

Every crop I have added two bulbs more.
I got 15.9 oz of dried, manicured, cured buds from the two tanks. I got abotu 12 oz of trim leaves, for HASH, and about two pounds of fan leaves for oil.
I got 14 grams of fine high grade HASH.

Here's the proof!

DOUBLE CLICK THE PICS TO SEE THEM LARGER, THEN DOUBLE CLICK THEM AGAIN!

The more stalks, the more tops

trying a 5 gallon bucket at my friend's house:

these are the roots of the plant that gave me 7 + ounces of dried manicured buds:

Tangled roots are fine, the more roots, the more plant! It is OK for them to tangle with the tubes too.

Many growers start seeds in a wet towel, or under a bowl, and use 5 days to sprout, take a 4 day old sprout (that is 9 days ) and place it in soil for 7 to 14 days, (that is 16 to 23 days later) then put it in a DWC system, and fill up the tank with water, so the baby one inch long roots are in the water, barely out of the cup. That is about a 3 week process, to get a root two inches long. The cube and root base is not being fed with nutrional rich water and oxygen.

In a Bubbleponics system, with a feeder tube and irrigation hub and under water pump, a seed is placed in a cube, in the cup, in the system, sprouts in 3 or 4 days and in 23 days I got a 23 inch tall plant.

without the feeding tubes, I 'd have a 4 inch tall plant.

14 days:

see the little plants in the dirt, in the bottom of the pic? I started the seeds in the dirt, the same exact day I startd the seeds in the system. see the difference????
12 days:

18 days old:

that's the difference!! (I over fed and got a little yellowing in that pic, I tend to do that often.)

Three years ago, I only had 4 bulbs on each tank, 2 65s and 2 85s.

how sweet it is!

Got to have some great shears or scissors.

You can use CLEAREX 1 tsp/gal for an hour if you have it or you can just drain and replinish (new nutes & water)
Thanks man, yea I picked some up the other day but haven't needed to use it yet.

Do you guys flush before flower? Or just start stepping back the grow and step up the bloom?

Roseman.....nice.

No need to flush between veg and flower. People do the switch in different ways and they all seem to work. Personally, I turn them to 12/12 and run the veg nutes as normal for one week. On the next res change I hit them with the bloom nutes. On some nute labels they do have a mix for transition to bloom but I haven't bothered with it and have shown no ill effects other than a little more leaf drop.

some also put the plants in a one time 24-hour dark period to kick start the flower process. So, you go 24/0 and then 0/24 for one day, then on to the 12/12 cycle. If that makes sense.

You can use perlite in a pinch found in the HD or wally world garden area. It will hold you till your order comes through but may get through the netpot and cause a bit of a clean up. To avoid that as much as possible I'd fill my netcup with hydroton and just carve out a 1" x1" divet. Natural sponge can also be ok.

Those are the big 4x4 blocks of rock wool used in Ebb and Flow systems. If they have that, they will have the starter plugs "1 1/2" or 2" square"

That big hole you see at the top of the big blocks are what you insert the starter cubes in.
