She was having problems with mildew and was starting to get mold so I took her down about a week, week an a half early.

Better to have something than nothing.

I already culled the mother for this because its too susceptible to fungal infections and also the buds dont have much of a smell to them compared to all the other strains.

Its officially harvest time!

We'll be finishing the rest of this plant thru tonight and tomorrow and also start on the Bubba Dom. pre98 Bubba x Querkle

Hey wheez, nugz, hovering, geekmike, KK, how do you guys dry the trimmings, in a cardboard box and just rotate them???

I used to dry it first, but I would end up with dirty bubble. The end product would have plant matter that was tons of work to rinse clean. One of the nerds told me to freeze it fresh, and I haven't looked back.

it sounds like everyone here wet trims?

ive read mzjills write up ...and I like the idea of trimming as much waterleaves as you can while the plant is still rigid-- but my friends out here think im crazy!.... i just tell em my plants look awesome from following all subs other advice so why should i stop now.

when you wet trim, you are handling "green" material that bruises very easily at that point. Bruising of the plant matter causes a darker appearance. Try doing it both ways sometime, and see for yourself, it'll come out with a lighter and better IMO, coloration.

I think the matter here is if you are trimming for bubble or not, if you want good bubble, fresh frozen trim is best.
