The Canadian Dream

Im ditching the landlords and getting a mortgage. This is the official build thread for 'The Canadian Dream' project.

This is the idea for the flowering room. The thick black lines are 6ft light rails. And the 600MH will be on a rocker or short rail.

The idea is to have the two 600w HPS lights chase the 1000w lights. The ovals show where the lights will be. This should allow me to take full advantage of the 6 foot light rails without as many long dark periods. It should give better light penetration then any system I have seen so far, other than the good old Sun.

It would normally take 5000w to "ideally" cover a 10'x10' space. With this system I should be effectively covering the same space with 3800w of lighting.

The two 1000w HPS and the MH will be in cool tubes. The two 600HPS will be hanging vertically with no hoods.

This should allow me to run 2 vertical grow walls with the 600w HPS along with the 10x10 of flat grow space. This should Maximize space for a perpetual grow. I can run young plants on the shelves, and move the big trees in the middle of the room. :fire:

This is JUST the flowering room. The whole room will be polyed out and dedicated to flowering. The room will be minimum 12'x12' and we are buying so we will be able to build everything how we want it and take down walls where we need to.

Thoughts, Ideas, Friendly criticism, lets hear what you guys think.

Read in your other thread about having a fresh start bug free once you move into the new area. I say hold off on bombing them until you have plants in there and see bugs. For now, spray down the entire area with FloraMite several times before anything goes in there. I've had amazing results with that product...the bugs really do stay away for a long long time and lessens the need to bomb.. the ladies have a way of getting resistant to pyrthrium if over-used.

Yeah, Im not worried about that, preventative measures are gonna be a big thing for us. Im gonna kill anything alive in there well before any plants are moved in. Im gonna build a poly airlock around the door too so its gonna be a dust free, clean environment. This is just the lighting setup so far. Environment is the most important thing in any grow room IMO so we will setting it up right the first time.

hey, I like BC idea of bombing the shit out of his new grow op...kinda what i was gonna do with those pco foggers and such..but my question is this..(for u to BC..) I am waiting for my homebox xl to arrive and will be setting it up in my garage, (10' x 10') what do u reccommend I use/do to initially "de-bug" my garage?? and /or would i just need what u said for BC to use...(the FloraMite spray,) I was thinking about ordering some FF don't bug me, safer killing soap, neem oil, and some bug detection sticky yellow pads for on-going protection as well as the foggers,,whatta ya think???
