The case of the "droopy" leaves...

I now have 3 plants that are suffering from droopy leaves. I can't narrow down what's causing it.

As you can see from the pics the plants look weighed down and leaves are curling downward.

I also have one plant that is starting to get what i can only describe as droopy bubbles forming in the center of the leaves (see pic).

light = 400W HPS + 50W of CFL
water = every 4-5 days (just watered yesterday)
nut = none yet
Temp = 68-72F
Humidity = 60%

Any Ideas?

ive seen this a bunch with my plants and i think its just when the plants small and is growing leave faster then petioles (stem)looks like the cfl is hitting it frm the side it could be seeking that light. could be over watering check with your finger about an inch down. also that last pic looks ready for transplant. and the middle looks the same . in your next batch of soil add a little perlite. but your doing fine .

Droopy leaves are most commonly caused by overwatering..... but it's also a sign of underwatering. It can also be kind of strain dependent.

First off, that finger inch down to see check "when to water" is bull that is a horrible way to do it. You need to lift and feel how heavy the container is empty then water till it starts to drip for drain holes, lift again and feel how heavy. Do not water again until it feels empty, depending on other variables you should only have to water every 4 days or so. Its far easier to over water than it is to underwater usually.

As far as the drooping this is very common in alot of my grows, can be from over/under watering, can be a result of temperatures, can be genetics, can be alot of things actually. As long as you know that your watering schedule and amount is good, your PH is good, the leaves dont feel papery and so one then dont worry.

As long as the overall health of the plant looks good and is growing good then some droopy leaves or Clawing is not a big deal.

does your bag/pot have drain holes? bet that the soil isnt draining very well. top feed roots dry out lots faster than the lower roots when your soil doesnt drain real well. that will cause leave curl and stress. even if they did drain, where will the water drain to? i like the fat leaves though, for some reason. good luck
