The cheapest grow ever?

As soon as I see amber, if ever, I chop. I've tried waiting for amber but it always takes weeks after I figure it's done before amber shows at all. Even now some of my plants are past de and no amber. You'd figure that a 1000W HPS would get them going amber quicker but nope.

If you do start seeing many amber trichs then it's up to you to decide how much THC you want to give up to amber so it can become CBN. I chop when almost all the hairs have gone red and at least 50% of the trichs are cloudy. Trichs continue to age and degrade after the plants are harvested too.

Also make sure that the trichs all have balls on top. I've been ready to crop a plant and when I looked real close half the trichs had no balls and it took another two weeks for most of the rest to fill out.

With all that pot you're going to grow you'll need help cropping. Want to buy a trimmer for half price? :)

So I accidentally stumbled here lol and saw you post this....at 6 weeks, my Fire OG cross is actually getting ambers under the 1000W SUPER HPS....I started seeing at 6 weeks which is super early for her and now im ending the 7th week and she's def producing more amber. I attest this to the ballasts....I could prolly chop If I wanted but I'm going to take her another week at least....

Still scouting out locations, then I will throw some bag seed in pots and plant them a few weeks later. They will not have time to finish, but it will help determine if the spot is stealth enough.

To finish this thread I am going to post pics of my one bulb grow as it finishes, with mini popcorn larf.

@zoic you will not have a long veg time, but they should finish. 4 to 5 weeks for sexual maturity, then if the nights are long enough, the will start to flower. I planted in October and November last year for a seed test, and averaged just over an ounce per plant on the ones I didn't kill. Granted I live in NW Florida, and still lost some to frost.

Yes they will, they just won't get very big before they bloom.

Awesome. Well I better get on it. I have been pining to germinate more seeds anyway.
I threw some down early July several times and you can get some nice weight still, they'll start transitioning to flowering in the next 2-3 weeks up here, you'll want to finish by beginning of October which is typically 1st/2nd frosts, after mid October you're chancing getting hard frosts or even snow some years depending how far north you are.

Quality report:

The GSC plants only netted about 11-12 grams, but it sure is good. I rolled a small joint for a nightcap, then fired it up after my wife and I had our last puff of the day. Well about half way through the joint she gets that holy crap I am stoned look on her face and ask what the hell are we smoking here? When I told her it was our own home grown GSC she was quite impressed. After it was in the mason jar for a week both my wife and I could detect a slight odor of cookies or something similar from the jar. WINNING. Since I still have some bag seed for this I am going to do a run of just GSC in the fall. The other plants we just ... meh, OK, nothing special.
