I have just set 3 seed's going these are regular seed's and to be honest i have worked with this strain and seed company before so i know the seed's are pretty much near all ways good,i'm wanting 1 female out of these,But if the seed do produce a male,i will be happy with that too, because i'm wanting to get this strain into a plant i'm working on at the minute.

I have posted this thread because there seem's to be a lot asking how to germinate seed's,this is how i do it and i have great success doing it this way,the clam method.

Hope that this help's any one new to growing seed;s,just don't rush them i don't even look at them for 2 days after that i check them first thing in the morning,I keep them in the living room,or any where that is warm, not hot, bottom of a grow room is perfect,if your temps are ok,

Watch out for the step by step cloning i will be doing in a week or so,Hoping that if just one person new to growing get's any thing from these then i will be happy knowing that one more grower means more cannabis,so get some beans ordered and get growing

You're absolutely right! I had lost 2 gems of seeds I found from dispensary bud, and it was killer too; Blackwater OG. Dank as hell, put my pain right to rest, and usually me right to bed. Perfect nighttime strain.
Tried to germinate though, and screwed it all up with paper towels INSIDE a sealed plastic bag.. cracked em both open after a generous time period (~2 weeks) and they were both rotted out. :wall:

Good quality airflow throughout the life cycle goes a long way!

By day 3-4 5 girls are born if there not through in 5-6 days you may have bad seed remember not to leave seed in to long or it will drown hope this helps you guys

I too have lost seeds during my learning curve by putting them in paper towels in ziplocks.
Every damn one refused to sprout a taproot (like 15 or so seeds).
36 hours in a cup of water (I usually scuff them just a bit as well) has worked for me for years now.

Fuck plastic bags! :finger:

bags are great for makeshift domes, but even then should be used with care.. if you interrupt or prevent transpiration, you will kill your plants. I've used them to support seedlings after moving into my veg tent, but you gotta keep an eye on anything with little or no ventilation, otherwise they'll choke themselves out, mold can develop, damping off, etc.

18 hours in water, seed sinks
put on paper tower / plate
cover with papertowel, moisten said towel/seeds
stick in dark area and keep moistened
pop goes the dank

If seed sinks don't mean to say she's bad

I've had lots sinkers and they still sprout good luck
Agreed. Just means the seed has been saturated beyond it's buoyancy point / no more air in shell.. though this may also be a warning sign: possible rot risk if there's not enough ventilation

If you guys are doing regulars have you ever noticed lets say you put 20 seeds in cup water all regular that the girls tend to stay together while the males tend to go off on there own

I have not noticed that, but now that you mention it, I'll be watching for it...
not trying to discredit, but when you're watching for this, how stoned are you? bongsmilie

2 paper towels folded on a plate works for me 99.9% of the time. I'm not sure why all the extra steps are necessary.

they're not necessary.. unless you want to over-complicate and thereby decrease your chances for success..

Haven't tried scuffing yet.. meant to last time, but forgot. Any tips / suggestions?

I do the exact same way using paper towel and styrofoam plates. on top of cable box. 20 years and thousands of seeds by now. 99.9% germ rate on viable seeds

the pic in first post the towels are way too wet though. open everyday so they can breathe. 48 hours ready for soil.

Or you just put em in the soil like nature intended

Exactly! I can't stress ventilation enough to people.. keep those moisture induced issues at bay
