Round 6 with these bars I built back in December 2014. Still going strong.
Pk3 globbed on and smooshed down then cleaned up with Kapton tape to secure. No failures, no glitches. Bars just get warm.
I'll use this thread for all remaining grows with this light.

Next up we have a Three Queen's from CSI:Humboldt who I can't recommend enough for solid reliable gear and some of the best feminized seeds in the biz.
Also a Fire 99 from Highrise in Canada who are also very underrated and very reliable as well with strong genetics at great prices.

just put them in the cxa tent an hour ago and will give them a week or 2 to veg in here before I flip. Attempting a sort of mainline here.

Going to flip these tmrw.
They just don't want to veg much.
This is probably the smallest I've ever flipped them from seed and the lowest I've ever set the screen but I'm shooting for all 7gr buds and higher with these girls. I topped them to mainline but I just can't wait any longer for them to grow.
I should have more manageability over the screen this way too.
Plus I have a feeling the cobs are gonna make these babies really thirsty in 2 gal pots as they're already drinking a lot.
First time with 2 gallons under the cobs.

So CSI:Humboldt. Where do you get their beans? This isn't Humboldt Seed Organization is it?
No relation to HSO but both make some of the best feminized seeds out there.
Seed vault of California carries the full line of CSI as well as Artizen seed shop.

Day 21
Just gave them a nice mini flush before I add .5 blossom booster to the 321 mix.

I grew these both before but the F99 which could have been pulled at 8-8.5 weeks went 10 weeks from sharing the screen with an OG and was a little over cooked. So this run should be perfect. Had some burn issues with the Three Queen's last time and she was still a frost monster but looks way healthier this time in the coco so really looking forward to pushing these to their peak.
Canopy is pretty tame and even for 2 different strains. They both have Fire og in their history too but couldn't taste more different.

Hola
What size tent? heat sink surface? fin height? How many cobs and what current are you running them?
Sorry for all the questions. I need reference for my own CXA 3070 design :)

Tent is 2x2.5' gorilla tent. 4.9" profile heatsinks from heatsinkusa at 20" long.
120mm pc fan on each sink.
3 cobs per bar, each powered by its own meanwell hlg 185-1400A which has the internal dimmer and is fine unless you want to dim much more than half way.
I have mine dimmed down to 120w each bar instead of full blast at 160 each.

These are both gonna be amazing!
The smell off each is to die for and both are encrusted in gooey trichs. Do not sleep on either of these strains! I can't stress that enough!

I changed the feed to 2gr Jacks hydro, 1 gram of calnit, 1gr epsom and 1gr blossom booster. I'm still trying to dial in the perfect feed schedule.
I'll probably start doing 321 from seed/veg to 321.5 starting week 3 of flower every other day up till week 5 or 6 depending on the strain and then tone it down and feed daily as I'm doing now.
I would always let my pots dry a bit for a day in between feedings even in these little 2 gallon pots but I've been feeding everyday for the last week and so far so good..I just always feared root rot when the medium is always damp but a lot of coco growers treat it like hydro and my coco, both the cloud coir and nutrifield is cut with a good amount of perlite so I'm giving it a shot.

Semi sad day in the garden. Was giving the girls their daily watering/feed and noticed 2 of the leaves on 2 of the buds seemed excessively dry. So I started to pull them off and noticed they were coming off too easy as if they were drying for a week so I cracked open a bud and sure enough dreaded bud rot. So I quickly cut it at the base and removed it, same for the other bud..both really chunky buds, that probably would have been 5gr nugs easy..oh well as long as I didn't spread any spores inspecting them I should be ok.

Here's where I f'd up I think. I let the run off water sit in the storage bin the last 36 hours or so on top of watering everyday for the last 5 to 7 days. Also had a heatwave where daytime sometimes peaked at 88-90 in the tent with lows at night of 66. I believe all these things combined sabotaged me. I'll be keeping a close eye on them and going back to every other day feeding. Next feed will also get some hydrogen peroxide in the mix in case there's trouble down below.

Not the end of the world but still hurts to trash 2 fat stinky nugs.

I had to trash everything last round, I feel your pain grower.......................max your air exchange&circulation/defoliate and hope for the best.

be safe
Thanks man...yes I saw that, hurt to see that as well. For some strange reason, maybe everything going on at once, I didn't even think of turning up my exhaust/circ fans which I just did now. Thanks

Day 50
Everything is looking happy and healthy.
I'll prob start flushing the F99 on Wednesday and the TQ soon after.
The TQ is finishing fast this time. Usually a 10 weeker but looks like I can pull her at 8.5-9 easy. She handled the heat wave with ease too. Wish I took a cut.

Day 57
Planned on chopping both plants this Friday but after checking on them just now noticed another cola on the fire 99 suffered from bud rot/mold. Another monster cola down so out of frustration I just chopped the whole plant and hung them by the branch. Not a total loss but still frustrating.
I couldn't give the dark period I wanted or the last and final watering I wanted to give her either..
The Three Queens will come down Friday as planned and I will bleach the whole tent before I fill it up.

the arrow pointing to the mega bud I lost.
All the rest were fine.

Like I said, not a total loss
