the dummy proof cloning method

1. ph water to 5.5 (i just use tap) in a container big enough for ur rockwool cubes
2. place cubes in the ph'd water for about 1/2 hr at least(even if you dont wait you'll probably be fine its just better to soak 4 a lil bit
3. cut a clipping off the plant with scissors then immediatly slice a 45degree angle with a clean razor blade and dip into any brand cloning product for however long the product says
4. insert into rockwool cube till u feel it stick in at the bottom
5. cut a third to half of any large leaves if needed (if no large leaves, let it be)
6. place all cubes on cloning tray and cover with humidity dome with a heating mat underneith. no need for water at this time as they are already soaked
7. thats it all i do is give em tap water every couple days and dont let them dry out

thats pretty simple if u cant get results with this method just stop growing cuz its about as easy as it gets. for a little quicker results maybe use r/o water instead of tap and feed a light cloning solution like clonex but i get pretty much 100% results with the method as described . i even tried it without dipping one in a clone product by accident and that one even rooted it took longer but it rooted

p.s u can leave them like this 4 a while and they will b happy but once they root remove the heat pad as they will dry up very fast and before u know it they will die of thirst well hope this helps someone out there and good luck growing

Wayyyyyyyyyy too complicated

Here is the proper Dummy Proof Cloning Method:::

1. Cut clones with scissors, split cut end with sharp knife
2. Place clone in aerocloner that has just plain, non ph'd tapwater
3. Leave for 1 week and roots will be growing

;)

uhhh i think if someone had a couple hundred dollar cloning machine they already know how to clone and are a little more advanced

WTF? You don't need a couple hundred dollar cloning machine LOL :D and you certainly do not need to know how to clone or be more advanced. Aerocloners can be handbuilt extremely easily (a plastic tub with an aquarium pump and a sprinkler fitting on it), or be bought cheaply. The whole idea of it is to be noob proof!

It's even easier than that. Take a 16oz party cup and fill halfway with dirt. Take a cutting with razor blade, stick it in the dirt, and water it. Cover the top of cup with cling wrap. Put under veg lights and wait. Two weeks and 6 of my 8 clones are showing roots through the cups.

Edit: I used clear cups so I can see the roots. Just put the clear cup inside a colored cup and pull it out to check them every few days.

Now it's been two weeks and two days and all 8 have shown roots. Didn't need any rooting hormone/nute/etc.

that sounds easy enough but 4 me its much easier to tend to 20 or thirty clones in a tray all i do is pour alittle water in it every 3 days or so, a lot smaller area, dont have to mes with soil,1 small t5 sits right on top of the dome and if anybody is doing hydro u dont want soil clones no pumps or sprayers or or homemade bull its VERY simple i can have almost a hundred clones in less than a 1x2 foot area and thats what im talkin bout

Eh different strokes for different folks. I don't see myself ever having a hundred clones haha I suppose with that many my way could get difficult. For hydro yes your way is probably easiest, but I use soil so it works for me.

Not sure if it has to do with using the rockwool, but why do you put a heat mat under your clone tray?

they root quicker and causes humidity which they like and thats the proper method when using tray and dome. its made to b used for that

Take your cutting and place them in a cup of water, cut end submerged and inch or so, the same as you would put cuts flowers in a vase. Leave them in the water for 24hrs then remove and dip in your cloning gel/powder and place in cup of dirt as stated above. I do not even use a humdity dome. 2 weeks or less they are ready to go....

Oh, alright. I guess with the t5 they need the extra heat then? I use a couple of cfls over mine so it keeps them warm already. Might try it next time though, does it have to be a specific type of mat or would an old under-tank reptile heater work?

Way too complicated. Cut clone with scissors and shove in a pile of soil and leave a glass over the top :)

Essentially i think every method is pretty foolproof, there are just too many fools who don't pay attention to what they're doing or keep a regular eye on their clones.

Would you mind checking the wattage and temp of the seedling mat for me? I already have extra reptile heat mats so if its similar I'm gonna try that first.

Yea but that's the thing with aero cloning, it's completely maintenance free during cloning and you don't have to keep checking to see if it needs watering etc. Just leave it and let it do its thing...Totally noob proof!

Aero Cloning FTW! :D
