What's the earliest you have tried a nug?

it really depends on the strain if you have an early finisher the 30-40 day mark would be OK i guess...but a 13 week sativa i would say dont waste ur time...

Cool cool. I was just thinking about taking a little popcorn bud off and trying it... Do I nuke it? Or put it in the oven? This is my first grow...

edit* Found a little bud that has some white/red hairs on it.. might try it.

I've always wondered when it came to this?? And what would one do per say to dry it quickly? I haven't the faintest because most of mine go around 8 weeks. Be interesting to see some responses though.

To quick dry I use the toaster oven set at a low setting around 150 F with the oven fan on to circulate air within for 10 minutes or so. I wouldn't advise going over 150 degrees or you will end up actually cooking/burning instead of drying. You wont be able to judge the taste or scent at all using any quick dry method but will certainly be able to roughly judge the potency. However, the potency won't be 100% until the plant is fully matured. I don't recommend using microwaves at all. If you don't have a toaster oven a regular conventional oven should work fine just tack on a additional 5 minutes for the oven to heat up or preheat it.
Good luck and good growing.

Additionally if the bud isn't dry enough after the 10 minutes put it in for another 5-10, better to under dry it an just put it in for a little longer than burning the THC and making it useless.

lmao i was outta weed and did that a few days ago. 2 diff plants, 2 diff tasters, 2 diff times the edge was taken off...be sure to take those bottom shade buds that will never be that good neway....ur pplant will love u for it. cut it btw. (dont pinch) whatever u do dont pinch as the plant will start trying to heal (use energy) for that as opposed to a straight cut the plants like "well thats gone no worries make bud"...
