The discussion that the birther movement is all up in arms about is nothing new.

Chester A. Authur, our 21st president of the United States wins the first natural born citizen award.

Chester Alan Arthur was the son of Irish born preacher William Arthur and Vermont-born Malvina Stone Arthur.
1. So Dad was a foreigner!!!!! Sound familiar???

Most official references list Arthur as having been born in Farfield in Franklin County, Vermont on October 5, 1829. However, some time in the 1870s Arthur changed it to 1830 to make himself seem a year younger.
2. Changed his Birth Certificate!!!!!!!! Again sounds familiar!

His father had initially migrated to Dunham, Lower Canada, where he and his wife at one point owned a farm about 15 miles (24 km) north of the U.S. border.
3. So he was born in Canada!!!!!!! Just like Obama had to have been born in Indonesia!!!

There has long been speculation that the future president was actually born in Canada and that the family moved to Fairfield later.
4. Oh Snap!!!

If Arthur had been born in Canada, a minority opinion is that he would not have been anatural-born citizen (even though his mother was a U.S. citizen) and would thus have been constitutionally ineligible to serve as vice president or president.
5. !!!!!! Much like today! So what if his Ma was a citizen! He should have been booted!

During the1880 U.S. presidential election a New York attorney, Arthur P. Hinman, was hired to explore rumors of Arthur's foreign birth. Hinman alleged that Arthur was born in Ireland and did not come to the United States until he was fourteen years old. When that story failed to take root Hinman came forth with a new story that Arthur was born in Canada. This claim also fell on deaf ears.
6. Slam! Not only was he born in Ireland! But also then bent time backwards and was born in Canada!

So it is funny what we can glean from history. Like the fact this won't matter. You can keep slinging the mud, but it will not go far since you have no proof.

And any proof that comes forward (like the fake birth cert! Nice one falling for that 'truth' trees) especially when it is produced in a country that wasn't even a republic yet is almost 100% falsified.

Have fun being paranoid and thinking that the economy is not going to get better and that an evil bank conspiracy strait out of a fictional book (Dan Brown's illuminati) is going to take over the world!!!!

I'll be over on my side of the computer making a killing off of the evil market that is going to make us all slaves, or something like that......

p.s. Maybe more history can repeat itself:

Publisher Alexander K. McClure wrote, "No man ever entered the Presidency so profoundly and widely distrusted, and no one ever retired… more generally respected." Author Mark Twain, deeply cynical about politicians, conceded, "It would be hard indeed to better President Arthur's administration."
