Very different with all the wars and terrorism but if you know where to go the experience will be just as awesome.
I have heard all my life how much better it was before while traveling, heavy tourism has been a game changer in most third world countries but if you go out of the tourist pass you will have THE experience, trust me on that one GO FOR IT.................

Hey frenchie, had a run recently where i use a half of machine tumbled trim, moderately dry, but still dry, very smalls peices, the personne couldent specify the strain. put in machine, fallowed the same steps i used too make my PPP, while collecting, i noticed my trichomes where very dry and crumbly, i put it under microscope and there was no broken heads or noticeable amount of green matter, but right off the bad i had a feeling it was gonna have a hard time sticking even with pressing technique.. after it dried i pressed and as i feared its very crumbly and dry, my PPP was even more dry then the trim was and was and results where sooo much more resinous then now, the transformation was apparent, but unappealing too me, very hard and not much bubble no melt or sticky when i put under the fire where did i go wrong!! (ill have pics soon enough)

Do you mean that the trims were previously sieved when you say "machine tumbled trims"???
If it is the case my friend you just learn an important lesson. NEVER EVER take already sieved trims to work with!
You are harvesting second grade trichomes at best...Not Good!!!
The fact that the trichomes are dry and crumbly is not a bad sign at all. The Pinot Noir is the same because of the Pakistani heritage.
You should try to apply more heat on a small quantity using the hot water bottle technique. Do not press, let the weight of the bottle and most importantly the heat do its work.
What is PPP???

by machine tumbled trim i mean the trim was trimmed by a machine, also i really used the pressing technique well with a 3.5 in the bag went at it for like 20 mins, and the PPP is strain (purepowerplant) it is what i previously posted on the thread, really ammmazing hash i made using your technique

The trims coming from a machine are usually pretty bad, most of the good trichomes stay in the machine. I tried twice and now avoid it at all cost. Your problem pretty much comes from the quality of the trichomes. It does not matter how good a hash maker you are, you will not transform low quality trichomes in high quality Hashish or you are a magician, which thinking of it, with your name you may have half a chance.

I have been working with my new bags and I am very happy to have a 190, got some very pretty trichomes in my 160. They look good under microscope, we will see if the nose and flavors are up to par

Well Iv been stocking up trim to try this out, once the small outdoor plants are down. Thanks for posting the info you do, it doesn't go to blind eyes and deaf ears I'll tell ya that.

Hello All! Frenchy, is your mini washer made by Panda? I found one on amazon that looks very similar for $100 with a 2 year warranty. I have been using a 5 gallon bucket with my bubble bags and a drill with a paint mixer attachment for a year now. It works very well, but I am looking forward to the day when I don't have to bend over my bathtub for 15 minutes at a time while holding the trigger on my drill.

It is not the same machine, Boltdbags have them custom made in China. The main concern is the plastic, as long as it is food grade type you are all good. If you are happy with a drill you will be ecstatic with the machine. A drill cut leaves, the leaves are moved by water only in the machine, much gentler.

This was made wit dry ice, was not full melt though,,, I want some melty stuff I can see how being gentle throughout your process goes a long way in keeping the quality up. I'll be buying the machine and bags any day now, I decided to leave my bags when I moved.

That is impressive whodat and inspiring. Thanks frenchy for this thread and all the helpful info. After doing some trimming last night I had a small gob of scissor hash in a dish. I picked it up @ started rolling it in my fingers into a sticky ball that turned dark brown after a few minutes. I see what you are saying about the difference between rolled & unrolled hash. One can tell from the feel of the material and smell that its much better rolled by warm human hands. After rolling the scissor hash burned very nicely & could have gotten 2 maybe 3 others high if I wasn't all by myself. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
