Still doesnt work for larger scripts. 12 plants is not enough to have moms, clones, and a crop going at once. Let alone pheno hunt
This is definitely an issue I have with plants counts. Only mature/flowering plants should be counted. I don't keep mothers, I just clone them before flowering. but like to have variety and mix strains for my meds/caps. Just with clones going off my keepers I can easily get to a total of 30 "plants", add a pheno hunt, I just threw down 6 Panama seedlings and I'd need a 7g/day script to be legal. Yet I'm only flowering 8 plants, a few more sometimes like last round when I have a few pheno hunts going.

Yes, I could veg out and grow fewer monsters pulling a lb. each if I didn't care about variety and mixed strains for my meds. To me that's restricting access to my meds. F*k HC, JT, and LP's... I'll do what I need to do like I've been doing for 30+ years, they can all suck the big one...

The gov't here is kind of stuck with the LP plan Harper set up and looking to keep prices high to maximize tax profits but that goes against their stated goal of eliminating the black market. The only way to cut out the BM and all the violence and gang involvement is to throw the doors open for everyone to grow their own.

Prices will drop thru the floor as pot becomes a commodity like tomatoes. Don't like the price of tomatoes at the store then you can grow your own. Don't like the price of beer or tobacco then produce your own too.

Nobody is likely to be happy with whatever the gov't comes up with as a plan going forward this spring. The recommendations recently released are just that, recommendations.

I plan to keep doing what I've been doing all along and if the price drops to $50/lb it's no skin off my teeth. At that price I'd likely stop growing if I can get decent pot for my own needs from small growers that I trust.

I planted 76 seeds a few days ago and all but 5 are up. Going to be a fun SoG grow soon with another batch like that planned to start in 5 weeks or so. Screw the limits and full speed ahead! :)

:peace:

Big Mike of Advanced Nutes said he expects the price to drop to $500-600 within a few years if legalization spreads. So pretty much what Colombian was in the old days. If it was premium it might be $700-750.

There will always be a market for limited craft production cannabis. Connoisseur will pay top dollar for the good stuff. Just like a fine wine or rare whiskey. If your a grower/breeder on top of your game you should have no worries getting top dollar. Of course there will be the Wallmarts of cannabis too. There will be room for everybody.

They can't produce cheaply with lights though, just greenhouse. Not many parts of North America produce good greenhouse or outdoor. Maybe So Cal or Texas.

Growing under artificial lights isn't sustainable and the #1 cost associated with growing indoors. The only reason to grow indoors was to be stealthy and for the security factors. It's just not practical or economical to grow indoors, if your outdoor climate is optimal. In Canada even our greenhouse cannabis production needs suplimental lighting. Our climate isn't suited in growing a tropical/sub tropical plant. It will be hard to compete with other countries who can utilize Mother Nature to reduce overhead.
