I use chicken wire fence around my babies,I had a few get nibbled on a few years ago and decided cages are the way to go,my spots are really secluded though.Sorry about the plants,good luck

In your situation you might want to put a screened top on your cages til they outgrow em,Kill them damn deer.

you could do other things besides try to kill them like set a couple salt licks out away form your plats so the deers feed of that insted.??

Try like a sweat soaked rag if the piss and hair aren't working. My father used to make scarecrows for our gardens and and the end of the day he would change the shirts on the scarecrow with the shirt he had worked in all day. This worked real well. Hopefully this can help you too.

hey they looked really good, u had a nice setup going. damn deer lol well i got a sugestion.... i dont know how worried u r about keeping ur place hidden but if u go about 30 ft away from ur area and get a fire pit and lawn chair and a cooler for ur beer. u stay there for an hour to rest after make it back there or watever and the presemce of u being there more and ur scent and the fire pit wil distract them from going there and if u bring a shotgun and fire a few rounds off they wont want to go back there and added with some cages uu should b good.
im not too far away from u, just a couple hours north. im in ohio and i know wat u mean shitty weather lately, it has stormed at least 3 times a week since april here. so far i gots 3 plants in the woods, i put tomatoe cages around them and chicken wire on top the cage and then i took some thin rope and fish line and made fence about 12 feet around the whole area and i also do some target practice mayb 20 ft away and deer dont go there nemore lol. well good luck with ur plants i will b checkin in to see how ur doing and nexrt time i go to my plot i will take some pics.

dam man i realy feel for you....

an old school out door grower from aust gave me a great tip you might wanna use if your gonna go the chicked wire.. burn it in a fire so its camos really well with the out doors... im still yet to do this but god dam i was look at the spot im gonna be putting my babys and that deff seems like a good idea

damn, sorry to hear about the deer bro. hope you can get that undercontrol. Fourth of July is comming up tommorrow. Go buy some fireworks and light them around the area. Sulfer should scare them away. Also the noise will make it so they won't mess around over there. And since its 4th of July no one will think much of it.

i dont know about fireworks it might be seen as sending a signal saying here are my plants come and get um

sorry my internet has been down forever (seems like it.. but only couple days) and i moved my plants that werent getting munched on by deer away from that spot .. i left the three that got chewed ( 3 , 4, 12) up there and moved the others away .. i also bought some animal repellent spray .. guaranteed to work so im trying it out .. but ill get some pics up tomorrow of the new spot .. not the best in the world .. but gets direct sunlight throughout the majority of the day ... and is easier to get to .. but i'll be putting on the animal spray whenever it decides to stop raining and will be heading up there ..also my chicken wire cages were topped with wire and i don't wanna make them too tall for "obvious" reasons .. and supply of chicken wire is out .. i think the new sunlight will be good if the deer will leave them alone and so do other animals ... and i was really pissed the other day.. sorry you had to see that
