The grow cabinet

Ok, so after doing much research and some advice from this forum, I have aboanboned the idea of purchasing the jumbo stealth grow cabinet..

Instead Ive ordered a cabinet the same size and now I am (as per your advice) hand picking the componets for the inside. The dimensions are like 4feet by 2 feet, and then like 7 feet tall..

I should add that this will be my first grow.. Right now Im torn between the 4 foot long T5 with 8 lights (tek light), or a 415 watt hid system... I like the T5s because (in theory) they would fully cover the full 4feet wide and allow me utilize the full width of my cabinet...This four foot area now poses the problem of what hydro (airoponic) system to get, that will fit in that space.. Im hoping to get 10 medium plants, but if I had too, I could settle for 8 plants.. As far as Hydro goes I understand that the bigger the water tank the more stable the hydro system will be regarding nutes and PH.

So I am looking towards an aerojet system...

I know this seems like a lot of rambeling but I welcome your input

A 400w HID system will fill that cab with plenty of light. Just make sure you have something in place to deal with the heat.

Just my two cents.

I would suggest you start with soil, and not a hydro system, since this will be your first grow.

You would be better with a HID system, just make sure you get a cool tube to keep temps under control.

And don't forget good ventilation.

The lure of hydro can be hard to resist, but get a couple soil grows under your belt first.

So I guess your vote would be to nix the T5s and just roll with the 400 system.

Yes I have a pretty sturdy plan regarding air cirulation and venting... Thanks man for your advice.
