wow wow wow ben, are you planting the seed straight into the ground? if so, id recommend starting it off inside for a few weeks first, to strenghten it up a bit. ive tried putting seeds straight into the ground, and it never seems to work.

i use ordinary potting compost from the local homebase, mixed with vermiculite, bout 30% v, 70% compost, i found it to work wonders. just got for a kinda decent quality but not rip you off compost.

also guys,
when i was digging the whole for my plant i found there to be alot of roots from other plants going through the soil. i cut most of them but in the future should it cause any hassle to the plant?? and is 1 1ft x 1ft by 1 feet deep hole enough?

Well well well... Found this thread and have to say well impressed.. I'm an Aussie now living in N.I and thought i was the only grower in the whole dam place.. On my second grow now in the roof space i might add. Growing 2 fem lowryder, 2 fem swiss cheese all going A1 at present but for the first time i hope it doesn't get to hot this summer as more vents and fans my be needed. Does anyone else here grow in the roof space ??
My first grow was excellent grew 6 big bud plants, seeds from Nivana and ended up with just under 6 oz dried. didn't take any pics but will this time... Any roof space Irish grow tips would be good to hear.

Peace.
