damn this shit is worse than Vegas, and they r some con artists. lol.

im sure alot of us peoples with out a decent bank account, or even a bank account period.

i wonder how much of our money really goes to the lottery??

I know someone who won the lottery. A real red-neck tho. blew it all on escalades and beer. TRU red-neck. in the process of getting his whols family caddy's. he lost some of his closest friends.

including my mother, who took care of him wen was extremely ill.

but my quetion is, WHAT is the thoughts of this giant mind game?

the stoney communities thoughts on the MIND F*KC????

IMO its definitely a mind fuck... Its all about investing a little time and money into something and coming out rich.. The american dream right? lol. While the state lottery is banking in on Powerball, scratch tickets, electronic card/slot machines in bars and casinos. Ive heard that the lottery does give to charities, but i dont know exactly how much.. Im not gonna lie it would be awesome to win multi millions in the lotto, but the chances arent realistic.. and some people take gambling to another extreme. it would be nice to see the lottery go to someone who could use it, but I dont know how many times ive seen a rich asshole win the lottery who honestly could do without...

I agree, Ive seen a few follow ups they usually go broke and are unhappy towards the end. But the worst part about it is you only get about half due to taxes? WTF I think that's a joke oh hey here is 8 million now you owe the state 4 million??

my crackhead ex neighbor won twice.. 75,000 that ended bein 52g's after taxes and 20,000 idk about the taxes on that one.. i was lovin when she won:)

Somebody besides the poor working middle class has to pay taxes. I think lottery winners are a good choice.

IMO, its a cover to take more money from everyday people.

NOT only from taxes, but think of how many people play and DONT win.....a dollar here 3 there, multiplied by the milloins of people who pay fer a ticket by the minue=BS.

i dont play bcause i use to werk in a liquor store and DAMN those lottery fiends r sad.

Seriously though the lottery wouldnt be as big as it is without all the people that spend their hard earned money on a small chance to "win it big", or i think also that people kinda get addicted to the "high" i guess you could call it from winning.. The lottery knows that alot of the people that win are going to go right back and try to win more.. lol.. the smart people leave when theyre ahead, but its hard to do. Ha yah the lottery fiends are kinda sad, theyve dug themselves in a hole and instead of saving their money they buy another ticket hoping to win a bunch of money and get outta the hole... but they know theyll be back..

A percentage of the lottery here goes to schools. So I guess it's a form of taxes...it used to be the preferred way of raising money before capital investment.

The other thing is it exists for the serfs that play it. That they have a hope of escaping their situation by playing it, so it probably increases social happiness.

take nc for a example its on the nceducationlottery.com it says where the money goes and that goes for each state they all have a database tha tells you where it goes

the lottery is and always will be a scam. they just justify it by giving a portion of the proceeds to a cause such as education. Think about it, in order to purchase a ticket you use money from your income that has already been taxed. Then if you win a large amount you must pay 40+% percent in taxes. States that do not have a lottery lose money to the states that do and that is why more states are getting some form of lottery every year. you would think in times of economic turmoil like we are in now states would use some of this funding to support the workforce.

It's called gambling, and the house always has the advantage. The lottery is the worst odds anywhere.
