bro, i havn't heard anything on the potential cover....its driving me nuts....i am learning communication isn't usually a high priority with the big mags.......all i have heard is apparently i have "pick of the crop" in Oct. and Nov.....a total of three pics....then a pic of my ace early in flower was bought for Danko's column for Oct.......then they asked for the largest file of my finished ace for a chance at the cover......but again, communication is tough....so i will just believe it when i see it i guess....somewhat dis-hartening....but what ever....i am still looking forward to the release of the oct. issue.....
Welcome to the world of published photography lol. More patience is necessary with editors than with growing marijuana plants.

You just go on with your life and get surprised some day with the rewards. Don't get sidetracked, keep doing what you are doing, you are doing it right my man :-)

No worries. That is why you need to keep submitting, the delay to publication is brutal sometimes so just keep on keeping on.

I am waiting for a piece in Skunk... no confirmations, just waiting for each issue... driving me nuts lol. I need more patience too :-D

Have a DANK day :-)

Hey Nugs,

I know that you mentioned main-lining does best with Indica dominant strains, but I decided I want to try on a Skunk plant I have growing since it will probably be the least potent of the girls and therefore less of a heartache if I don't properly replicate the expected results. Anyway, I was wondering if this plant looks ready for treatment, or should I let her grow out a bit more? Thanks in advance!

she looks just about perfect......i would recommend, pruning the tip out, leaving the two nice juicy nodes at the top (one for set of clones), trim the rest off, then very gently repot her into a 2 or 3 gal to train.....shes purdy!

Appreciate the quick response! I probably won't take any clones because she is a very cheap, freebie skunk and am not expecting too much out of the smoke....just wanted to try some main-lining on her before messing up good genetics . Got her pruned and topped (hopefully I did it right)...will transplant in a couple days because I just watered her. Thanks again! You'll be seeing more of me and my questions for sure :)

I wonder if topping early like that, while not providing a couple of clones, might push them through veg period faster?

First of all, your threads are always epic. Just a quick question where I'm not having much luck with the search function. I know you use insulated wires for the bondage, but what type of wires? Braided copper? What gauge? I'll be starting your main lining technique properly soon now that I have the space. Before I didn't have the room to branch them out too wide, but now that I have my bigger room back (was being cleaned due to pest problems) and my taller plants are being spread by tomato cages (works brilliantly). I'm sure I could have figured out the best pliable wire at the store, but I figured i'd ask since you are extremely responsive and helpful. Also while I'm thinking about it, how much of the plant do you leave un-trimmed for flowering (cutting away the larf)? I know you said it in a thread but I forgot and can't seem to dig it up. I flower under a 600W HPS. Also, I still shit myself when I see your AoS and I have seriously shown everyone I know that grows that beauty! Thanks so much.

thanks bro......i just use 12 or 14 gauge wire, between the two, whatever is on sale.....as far as pruning the under story....each strain is a bit different depending on how much secondary branching it has, but i get pretty aggressive....i just shoot for a nice properly filled canopy, all the same height, and just enough space individually to be happy....i do not jive with colas crammed too tightly together.....i would say my colas average 10-16 inches long....hope that helps.....thanks again for the compliments....i wear your W.N. design with pride brother!
