Sorry to be such a newb, but can u give me a recipe for the Epsom salt to water to fix this mg def. Strange to me how one plant can have a deficiency and everything else is fine. I assume the LED didn't cause this?

With a mg def would all leaves be off colored? On this plant the newer upper leaves are perfect, it's the lower stuff that is crispy. I'm just trying to learn.

I'll also go pinch some tops for 16:)

Thanx as always.

I just read 1 teaspoon Epsom salt per gallon of water. This sound ok? Also, how frequently?

Mohican here is the guide from the manuf of my LED's.

Blooming plants. 12-18"s
Vegging plants 18-24"s
Babies 24-36"s

I pushed the space to much on this plant, I was closer to 24"s or less in this tent.

I have heard that LED growers are using more Mg than with HID. When LEDs burn they do not bleach. I have seen almost all LED grows go through a burn phase because they think they need to get their light close to the plant (including me). I fried my young plant with my LED and she recovered when I put her under the CFLs. I am still not sure where I should place my LED distance-wise, but I think I may get a deep purple Kessil for vegging and switch to the magenta in 12/12. It did not help that my pH was 8 either. She liked it when I got a pH meter and dialed her in.

Now I need to get a chiller for my res or go SS indoors. Heat rotted my roots last winter. Will mainline this time and flip sooner. My LED may not be able to sustain a huge bush. Think I will try some Jillybean indoor this winter. I can then take some clones and plant them in summer :)

Thats fine. One or two waterings with epsom salt should fix deficiency. In a compost tea I use 1/2 tsbp per gal. so 1 1/2 tsp. Per gal.

Mg def. Shows by yellowing edges and tips of leaves. If just the lower leaves are yellow and crispy. Its blotchy yellowing. Sounds like nitrogen / phos def. and possibly under watering. Leaves would curl upwards and turn crispy if it is under watering.

I just cannot say this enough .... But this is by far ~ the very best thread going on RIU !! :-) Everyone just seems to be helping out each other, and it is just wonderful to see. I believe we are all noobs, as I have not yet a man that knows everything there is to know in life. I just want to thank everyone, especially Nugs, for beginning this thread of Joy, Hope and Caring.

Peace, Love and Happiness :-)

Master Kush Main Line vs LST (no topping)

Using tomato cage rings and 7 gal smarty's on both

Both got the same amount of veg time. The LST-er did spend a few days more in the 7 gal though in veg.

Main liner is on day 11 of flower and the LST-er is on day 1. This was not planned. Yesterday, I tried the tomato ring style with the LST-er and it works so far. So now I'm doing this test. Either way I go I will always utilize a tomato ring to open up the center of the plant.

She was under a 300w LED until last week when I moved the LED out and the T5 in. I assumed the LED burned her because it was to close and she is just recovering. Does that still look like a mg def to u? The dirt/super soil or water hasn't changed.

As for going 16, would u have pruned already or have waited till now?
N / P Def is what it looks to me and under watering. Show some zoomed in pics of the leaves. I could be wrong

^^^^^check out the difference in stem diameter already.....i am putting my money on the ML.......she doesn't have the most even canopy, but what you will notice is the overall yield will be much more consistant in size, shape, and density......and will have half the fluff as the LST plant......very cool, and thank you for sharing bro!...plus rep big time.
