 Should start a (Nugbuckets Main-Lining by others thread)

Right now my girls in flower are not tga, but i have some Timewreck i just tied down for 8, then in the near future i will have some deep purple & qleaner that have all broken ground waiting for them to get big enough to sex then the main lining starts again :)

i need help. not on mainlining. but should i cut off some fan leaves? they're in flowering now and it is really leafy. only the tips above those leaves see light. anything below gets no light at all. im afraid the bottom parts of the branches wont bud much. and spreading them out more is not an option cuz its pretty crammed.

also, about mainlining. it works with clones too? since clones have asymmetrical lateral branches, so one branch will always be higher than the other branch.

if you look at my picture up top, i waited till 10 days into flower befor i trimmed up all the lower fan leafs and stuff, just don't take them all off,

and yes you can mainline a clone, there is a bunch of pictures and info within this thread on how nugs does it

i bet you will find it was worth the extra time...
I got my seeds from the "tude", most of them are DNA or RP kushes and from my previous grow i felt like kushes would be some of the best strain to grow using main-lining.
Can't wait to see how it goes but the beginning looks awesome!

Peace!

Hi all,

just wanted to extend a thank you to nugbuckets, and all others who contributed in this thread. we have seen the light and are main-line fanatics now :) i apologize for the poor photos, but here is some of our mainlined bitches-- lil ones are jillybean, bigfoot skunk, and trainwreck for the most part, bigums aremostly catpiss.

will put photos of the flowers when we get a chance :)

Nugs i hope you still watching this thread her is 1 of my girls (OG Kush Mainlined for 8 day 22 12/12)

Frank, beautiful plant you have there
my friend! Amazing job getting her mainlined with all those heads. How much space does she take up? As I make plans for my attempt at mainlining, just curios to see how many of them I could fit in a 3x3 dr90. 3 would be ideal!

Thanks! :)

She is 42" tall from the floor to her tops, the metal ring i have is 18 inch's in diameter and im useing 7gal smart pots & Super Soil,

if maybe you went with a 14-16 inch ring and 5 gal pot you should be able to get 3 in that tent,

A 2 gallon bucket should suit me fine. I'm using hempy buckets, so I shouldn't need a bigger container because hempys thrive on a massive root ball. Do you start them off training in solo cups to help with sexing? It would be a pain to get a big bucket going only to find out its male :(

To me thats the risk in investment and I feel like youll be better off time wise if you had those plants in the 2 gallons before sexing. They will be noticeably bigger then in a solo cup and recover faster after the switch from sexing

(But Thats just like my opinion, man tumblr_llgaeahjah1qiyqyfo1_500.gif ).

Its just base soil that might be thrown away but in the long view of things your trying to find a keeper and youll make back the loss in no time.

My lst vs mainlining with master kush. Lst is winning by far. Filling out more and bigger buds, faster veg. Its a pure indica though. Imo main lining only works good with 60/40 or 50/50 indica dom hybrids. 80/20 ones or more would do.better with lst. My sativa dom hindu skunk likes lst more too. Maybe its just strains that have a hindu kush lineage thats not good for main lining. My romulan bagseed in veg. Looks like it would do very well at main lining. Maybe thats why the tga ones come out best. They all have romulan in their lineage.

Also with lst I am using tomato rings / cages to open up plant like main liners.
