The narcotics team too broke for fly overs? Whats happening?

Hello everyone,

I am a Northern MI resident, every year I do a plant or five outside. Around harvest time every year the narco teams fly over like mad and the paper is full of busts. Everyone sits on their product and those that do sell broker at double their prices.

Either they are getting lazy or broke, because the sky was pretty clear this last year. Little to no busts in the paper and the dryspell did not happen until late December. Maybe they where ordered off do to the upcoming vote for legalization.

I have been at this for 10 years now, every year its the same until now. Something is changing in the water.

I am glad they could not wreak havoc like in previous years but I am wondering the motive behind their mercy. Going to try autos this year to beat the planes if they decide to come back hard.

Edit: Keeping enemies to myself.

I'm in N MI also. While I don't grow outside, last year I did notice a lot of choppers out in 2014, not in 2015

Id be interested in learning what screams "im making heroin". Is it some shack with an acre of poppies and no vegetables ? Sounds like the advertisement to one my vegetable breeders haha

Heroin is a huge problem up here, that and meth. These strung out fuckers do anything for a fix. Meth bottles and needles are in the paper every week. And its a prettt rural area.

The first week I moved into the trailerhood my neighbors house was broken in to and everyone thought it was me because I was the new guy. The cops harassed me like crazy and did not go out for any leads.

Turned out it was a junkie that I went to high school with. I was the one that had to do an investigation to find the real thief. It only took a day of just asking the neighbors if they knew anything.

The police would not lay off me and didn't give a shit about any other leads. Not one apology from them ofcourse. My neighbor apologized to me and we have been good friends ever since.

I believe its imported, could be made here though. I know mostly people in the weed game so I can't be for certain. I stay away from junkies.

I heard if you cut a poppy, let it bleed, and cook down the sap it lets out; you get heroin, or a morphine like substance. Don't take my word on this though lol.

I was out baiting my deer stand about a 1/4 mile from my gorilla grow spot and had a black hawk fly by really low do two circles and move on.Im wondering if he saw the piles of old soil that I dumped or am I just paranoid? There is a military base maybe 15 miles away but have never seen them this close or low.Now I'm wondering if I should find a new spot for next season.Im a little scetched out!!!

I trust nothing. And what you're describing is a very odd, unsettling event

I'd be scratching my head too

Our county law, here in Northwest Florida, used to use their chopper all the time to make busts. These days it only gets taken out for an escaped con or something like that. Cost too much to fly for finding weed. I think there used to be more state and federal drug money flowing to the counties than at present.

What is funny, most of the weed busts in years gone by that was attributed to the chopper was really an ex dropping a dime. {I just dated myself} The law would get a call telling them where to look, then they would fly over and "find" the patch. Most found pot these days are from neighbors reporting it. The law does set up cameras and catch folks that way, so always wear your turkey mask.

Good points

Also glad to hear how local law-enforcement has to spend their money more wisely
