First off, the person who started this thread should be billed for waisting 2+ hours of my time watching that absurd video and replaying to mostly uneducated posts. In fact, I should be committed for watching and replying. First off, give me one shred of evidence that the new world order and the illuminati exist. I mean real evidence, not conjecture and wishful thinking. That shit video was so full of logical fallacies that I don't even know where to begin. Hello, argument-from-ignorance and argument-from-authority! I am not the type to get upset of idiotic views, but when there is a video out that people buy in to; hook, line, and sinker; without doing one bit of research from a source that doesn't speak of the new world order and aliens and ghost, is absolutely appalling. I can remember people saying Bill Clinton was the anti-christ (oddly enough at the time, so was Saddam Hussein). The same was said about GW Bush. Bush may have been a bumbling idiot and the worst president ever, but anti-christ he was not.
Anyone who believes in the new world order, or that the president is going to destroy the world, or that congress is part of the wealthy barons who run the world from the underground magma vent, needs to be put in a room with padded walls. Pick up a book that wasn't printed by the National Conspirators Society and read! Just because you think the new world order is out to get you, doesn't make it so.

And what makes you so sure? Have you done any research? The Illuminati goes far back, with connecting ties to the Freemasons, even Washington spoke of the Illuminati in the country.

What makes me so sure is that I do not get my information from the latest Dan Brown novel. I do not respond to the Burden of Proof fallacy. In the words of Carl Sagan, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"

Agreed. The resurgence of the "illuminati" really started in the 80's i think with the book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" and other misrepresentations of the freemasons.

It was broadcasted in an hr long special, on the History Channel.

But whatever, you're probably right, I don't look into it much.

Here's an example:

Once George Bush was asked about his membership into the Yale "Skull & Crossbones" club.

George responded by saying that he was a member of the club but it was so secret that he couldn't comment about it further.

Now if you are of a conspiracy mindset, you will instantly be .... "SEE???!!!"

Everyone else understood that George just made a joke.....

See the difference? You'll see conspiracies everywhere if that's what you look for.

See, that's where you falter. Old groups? Conspiracy works upon a faulty circular logic. They start at the end and work their ways backwards.

Example:

The banks seem to own everything (false). So they MUST be controlled by an order of members (they are, bankers). But they must be in a Club (yes, the 19th hole). Any one who reaches prominence in the banking world will be placed IN the group by the conspiracy ppl. Once a banker FITS the "profile", BINGO! They are part of the conspiracy......:lol:

It's an easy trap to fall into.

I wouldn't take much stock in the history channel. They show more pseudo-science than any other channel on tv, aside from fox news.

Very good point. We are a tyrannical, hypocritical country that owes a fuck load of debt to half the world. Un-constitutional as a motha.

Plus, The history channel fucking rules. They're not into much pseudo-science stuff, except for possible UFO sights and the Mayan calendar. :shock:

yeah, i'm sure you've seen loose change second edition. watch loose change final cut. it goes way more in depth,... waaay better than the second edition. the research behind it is truly amazing.

Hah you guys are stupid. I have to admit I do watch a lot of conspiracy videos and the history channel. Really though how long will it take before you realize it's all bs. Just like the bs you get from the regular news and many other sources. It's all sensationalized and blown way out of preportion. Every president is going to be the one to turn us into a dictatorship. Remember the Bush administration and all the conspiracy stuff and how they were all predicting a major disaster or terrorist attack to happen then we would have a police state. OMG it didn't happen. Now Obama is a fascist who is going to use the financial crisis to take over the world. Wasn't the world supposed to end in 2000?

The point I'm getting at is it's a big world so a lot of people are going to see things that may or may not be there. Yes our government sucks. Honestly though I think they are trying to make things the best they can. Of course that is limited by politics and there desire to be reelected by the droves and droves of stupid people that make up there constituencies. Live your life and don't get all worked up over imaginary things. If you can't walk out your front door and see the things you're afraid of then they're all in your head.

We did have a major disaster ( Katrina) and a terrorist action (911) and we pretty much are a police state. Ask any one of the 17 million people without full time work and see what they think.

honestly i try to not get sucked into all the bullshit however i go with my gut and dude its pretty fucking obvious theres more special interest in the gov then there is democracy and capitalism. so do what ya do this dosent ruin my life, at least hasent yet. but il have no problem if shit ever does go down, cause at least il see it coming, if not then fuck thats cool too.
