The Official Canna Coco & Nutrients Thread

the proper time to water coco is when the plant/container has lost half its weight... So, next time u water, pick up the plant to get a feel for how heavy it is... when it has lost close to half its water weight then it is time to water again... the coco may be starting to dry out on the top at this point, or it may be wet looking still... But you should water based on the weight, regardless of what the coco looks like.

Run off is the water that drains out the bottom of the container, and helps keep the old nutes flushed out and replaces them with the new fresh nutrients each watering.

you may be having some other problems with the dried out leaves... if you had a pic i could probably identify the problem.

Ok well I flushed today with 600ppm of nutes. The lights are off now but when they come back on ill snap some pics for you.

Thanks!

would you recommend the LACon? how does it yield and what was the flowering time? do you know which breeder it came from? cuz i think Mr. Nice and DNA and maybe others all make a LACon.

thanks in advance mattso101, glad to hear your happy with the nute change.

I just popped some of DNA's L.A. Confidential X Skunk, hope its a good one.
ah the freebies. I want to see that grow out! you got the sleestack xskunk too?
I highly reccomend the La con. Mine was from DNA Genetics. The only one thats makes it im pretty sure. Well they are the Origanal breeders.
Its yield is modest at best But the potancey and flavor make up for it. It is very Skunky and Hashy in smell and flavor with a tanh of lemon lime that tickles your nose. Someone asked me if I was smoking a hash or oil joint once. It is a very strong Indica. I cant carry a rolled joint on without stinking bad!

I flower the LA for 65 days from the time I switch to 12/12. I have pulled it at 55 days and still had dank but the wait will be worth it! I found the more Organic I went with the nutes the better it turnes out. I Have grown this out now 5 times and on my 6th run of it. I have also grown it outdoors in Canada and pulled it Oct 3 and it was just Wicked. I have pic of it in my threads

i also just got a free LA Woman from a recent Sharksbreath order. They say the LA Woman yields twice as much as the LA Confidential.

yes, for root feedings, use the Rhizo at the high end of the spectrum (10ml-15ml per gallon) during the early stages of veg. Once the root system is big and established and you are in your final size container, then u can drop the dose down a bit, and once you are a week or 2 into 12/12, then u can drop it down to 2ml per gallon until about week 5 or six.

you can also use it as a foliar spray like once a week or as much as every other day.... it works well as a foliar because the hormones in the rhizo are easily absorbed through the leaves... For foliar feeds mix the rhizo at 2ml per gallon... try to spray it right when the lights come on, while the room and plant temps are still kinda of low, and so the leaves have time to dry before dark.

As for the cannazym, use it at least once a week and start using it about 2 weeks into 12/12 cycle, about the same time as you drop the rhizo to 2ml per gal.:leaf:

what type of spray are you using? Most sprays take several applications... spraying watered down Milk works well to kill PM fyi.

powdery mildew loves when the humidity raises or falls more than 15-20%... your humidity can be pretty good but if the change is more than 20% than u can still have a hard time with it... do you know what your humidity does at night when the lights go out? thats usually when humidity skyrockets.

aqua flakes has a really good rep and a lot of people like it. they say it it leaves very little salt build up. my guess is that they are probably pretty similar.

as 4 the rhizo/root exl.... they are kinda like the rich mans superthrive and yes, from what info i could find, they are likely pretty much the same except for roots exelerator has something in it that will fight and kill pythium root rot and i dont believe rhizo has that same ingredient. But Rhizo has the rare ingredient Oligosaccharide, which is a root-strengthening hormone. Scientific research has shown Oligosaccharide has a beneficial effect in the creation of root cells without any negative side effects.

yes i have tried oregonism and i would recommend something else, Great White works well and has a lot of good stuff in it but it is very expencive (but so is the orgonsm xl) but better imo.

check out this chart of common inoculant spore counts... (keep in mind that there is a lot of other products that arent on the chart that are good)

These products were tested by Western Labs. The lab tests 50ml samples of product.

Western Labs has said that anything above 30 is considered "good" but some people would disagree.

The product from RTI that appears in these charts is Pumpkin Pro. We settled on the 3000 figure because our counts varied from as high as 10,000 and down to 1500.

hmmm, well i personally have never used more than 12-13 ml per US gallon and that has burned some of the strains i have tried... BUT you could be right... it could be a deficiency and not a overdose, but im thinking at 15ml per gal. you shouldnt be seeing any deficiencies unless your PH is just way off and you get nute lockout.
