Hello m8 - Not yet we had a big bust near me so everthing's on hold for now while the dust settles.. prob gonna have a go at Chronic Ryder next or use up all the Diesel Ryder seeds I have left.. I also have to invest in new light & extraction equip as I lent it to my m8 who got busted :(
I'm told the police have to give the equipment back if its taken in a bust, up to your mate to ask for it though, I would have thought.

Haven't read where the person is from.

But coming from the UK and being busted before, believe me they don't give it back because its being used to cultivate.

I tried getting my SUNSYSTEMS BLOCKBUSTER 6" (£225) reflector back.

No joy!

The only reason I mention it is I know 2 people who have successfully sued for the return of their property that was legally acquired in the first place. Whether the
same still applies, I don't know

Ok, nobody can answer this better than this thread. After a couple of years of using Canna Boost to it max (16ml gallon) all the way through flower (and sometimes during flush), I'm starting to wonder about a familiar smell and taste I get with bud cured > 4-6 months. Seems to take on a light "shoe polish" smell and doesn't matter what strain I grow (different strain every grow). I cure in 1qt. Mason Jars with lots of attention to burping during the initial 2 weeks to get the moisture right. I surely love the effects of bud size/diameter but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this unique smell/taste effect. I can't prove it's the Boost but just checking with the Canna group (I use the full lineup, nothing outside Canna products). As an alternate way of thinking, it could be due to the particular strains of airborne bacteria in my locale, similar to why sourdough bread is better in San Francisco. What do you think?

Try dialing back on the boost especially in the last week and/or don't use it during flush. See if that makes a difference. I haven't experienced any kind of "shoe polish" type smell though. Sounds like it would make me queezy.

Its most likely you using the boost all the way though, I have a friend who grows and never really fllushes all the way and the smell of the bud and taste are horrible

Hey guys just a quick question regarding seedlings as i am conflicted after reading differing methods but they all come to the same conclusion, that during the fitst weeks you just feed them water.

But i am using the canna line and have been using rhizo from the start as the guide says. 4 ml per 1 litre for the first week then cut it down. Everything that i ahve read up on this stage suggest just feed your seedlings ph water at 6-6.5. On the canna guide it says keen ph between 5.2 and 6.2.

So does the general rule of no nutes for the first coiple of weeks and just ph'd water and then start on 1/4 nutes after the third apply to us canna growers?

I mean i have had no issues since I started using canna but now i am in all sorts of confusion.

Ignore it and just follow the canna guide?

I use 4ml Rhizotonic per litre and make up the difference with A and B up to EC 0.6 for seedlings.

I pre charge my coco with the same nute solution too.

I use this for 1 week and then cut the Rhizotonic to 2ml while keeping at EC 0.6.

Then I start increasing my EC by 0.2 each week pretty much.

Hi guys! I am so glad i found this thread.

I am writing with concern about what i read much earlier in this thread which has to do with Canna products being made for water ppm of 200. The tap water that I use has 40 ppm. Last week, i ran into a problem that still persists. The new growth tips of all 9 plants are turning yellow and the bigger leaves bellow the new growth are slowly following suit. I suspect that it is a magnesium deficiency but i cannot be sure of it due to lack of experience.

I realize that this is not a "deficiency" thread but this is my desperate attempt at hopefully getting some useful information by more experienced Canna growers to help solve this problem.

I am using Canna A & B and Cannazyme. The plants are growing in coco and are in day 25 of veg. The ppm is currently at 530. Let me know if more info is needed.

I would appreciate the help.

yes it look like a light mg deficiency. with that tap water, I highly recommend ya to buy a calmag additive.(check for botanicare calmag+). canna worst leak is their mg content

FYI , you should buy their PK BOOSTER , very beneficial for canna coco as it contain only ~20ppm of P at the highest dosage. dont feed them 15ml/10L , it's too much, 5ml/10L was perfect for me.

Hi, thank you very much for the quick reply :)

Awesome, i will be sure to add some calcium and magnesium. I have all Canna's Mono nutrient bottles so ill just add a moderate amount of magnesium and observe.

I have the PK booster as well but was under the impression that it should be used during flowering and not vegetative stage. Do you use it?

Im using 17ml/10L of A & B. Aside from the magnesium def. they seem to like it. Also, I use autopots which is a bottom-feeding system, don't know if that tells you something but i thought i should put it out there. :)

ye PK booster is only for flowering. I prefer to apply continuous light feed than one big at the end. you are actually feeding at 1/2 strenght after 3.5 week, it's very low, maybe try to raise a lil bit.these plant are cutting or seed?

Right, thats what i thought also. I'll probably raise the ppm a bit more this weekend. My main priority right now is to clear the deficiency though. They are grown from seed mate.

530ppm seems quite low, i would be around 800-900 at nearly 4 weeks veg.
Canna A contains calcium and Canna B contains magnesium so by upping your ppms a little and also suplimenting with your mono it should help the deficiency and also feed those hungry plants :)

Whats up mate! thanks for the response :)
You are absolutely right about that. The deficiency is probably due to low ppm and since my tap water is lacking in calcium and magnesium, it makes sense that a deficiency in mag. and cal. would be the first signs of their hunger. Im on it :D

Thanks a lot mate.

Does anyone use protekt silica as ph up and/or molasses as ph down
I use the growth technology liquid silicone for my ph up, its cheap and works well :)

"Liquid Silicon is a soluble form of silica that's added to nutrient solutions to help protect plants against pests and diseases. It strengthens cell walls and root systems, improves nutrient uptake, prevents toxic build-up of nutrients in plant tissue, reduces water loss through transpiration, increases uptake of available CO2 and increases chlorophyll production leading to darker green leaves - all of which contributes to increased yields."
