The Official House and Garden Thread

Yes I was curious on how long can you use mixed water and nutrients. I am using house and garden and was curious if I could mix a bunch to feed for a week or so. And I was curios if I should feed every other watering or every one.

I got foxtails on my Blue Dream grown in an undercurrent DWC system with CO2 but not in an other tent that is just hand watered coco with no CO2. I was trying to figure out why I got the foxtails since I basically used the same nutes for each grow, the only difference being the base nutes. I used Cocos for the coco and Aqua Flakes for the undercurrent DWC. I am not 100% convinced that Top Shooter (liquid Shooting Powder) is to blame.
Top Shooter is not responsible for my buds fox-tailing this time. I put a Kandy Kush in the mix, it's turning out looking fine, the Gsc is still fox-tailing, without the top shooter, maybe the cutting?

Thanks for reporting back, I am not 100% against fox-tailing but I am curious as to why it happens. Can you post pics of the foxtails?

Did you use Amino Treatment in this grow?

These are 5 weeks, I kept them on multi zen for an extra 2 weeks just to keep them "unstimulated" to see what would happen.

Crazy, I keep mine on multi zen for an extra week also. I also rock one more top buster into week 6 and then start shooting after that.

I use the whole line of additives and coco base nutes and love it. My only problem is with the algen extract after about 2 months it turned solid and thats with the cap on at aprox 75 degrees f. Anyone else have that problem? I would like to know if i should just email humboldt about it. Also any tips on auto watering with these nutes for coco would be great i need to go on a trip about five weeks int flower and im terrified ill kill them. I have used blumats before but one became clogged and i lost a girl. Iv looked at the clabber oasis but it seems like a stale batch of nutes might clog it as well. Thanks fellow growers

I personally don't even use the Algen Extract because it is such a mess. It clogs everything up and definitely shouldn't be used in hydro.

I just started on House and garden for this next run after many successful runs with Dyna Bloom. I am noticing the new leaves are coming out deformed with a brighter yellow on the inside area's. I am using Aqua Flakes AB in an aeroponic recirculating system with Drip Clean and floralicious plus pH at 5.8 to 6.2. Hopefully this picture can help identify the problem. 005.jpg

I am not. Regular tap water that is low ppm. I should add it? Its a cal or mg deficiency?
No, not sure what it is. I run cal mag with aqua flakes every watering. I'm in a soilless. I'm not to convinced that aqua flakes would be the issue with your plant. Could be enviourment related I'm not sure being u gave no data as to where your grow room lies. And what was the reason u chose house and garden base nutes over dyna grow?

Environment is a nice 75F with low humidity, same environment I have been successful with past grows. I went to H&G to have a change, don't know if something will be better until I give it a go :)

I decided to stop the H&G experiment and go back to my tried and tested nute regime. I spoke with H&G Techs and they advised I need all the additive range and not just A&B. I had previously, many years ago ran the advanced line, which I concluded was a huge waste of money for the results when I had the same results with a bottle of $18 nutes so am very hesitant on spending a chunk of cash again.
