The Pineapple Express Experience

How's it goin Everyone, Just thought since I've heard so many good things about this strain and so many stories and experiences with it that I would start a thread devoted to it. Mostly to inform future growers what to expect and look forward to. I personnely havent had the pleasure of meeting one of these fine ladies in person yet but I do have a bean coming in the mail shortly and I'd really like to know what to expect so I can make it come out as well as some of yours. Please post your thoughts, suggestions, and experriences here about this strain so others may learn.

It's a picky eater finishes 8 1/2 to 9 weeks slow in veg but catches up in flower. This is my third crop of it I get around 3 oz off it with a 6 week veg.

Third crop you say? So your one of the folks that think this one is a keeper. Do you have a mother of it goin for clones? or do you play pheno roulette with seed each grow?

I've harvested 2 so far, had some bad luck with the second one due to mites and the first one I flowered small as an experiment. My 3rd one is about 5 weeks into flower and my 4th one about 10 days.

Agreed on the vegging, slow starters but do well in flower. My PE seems to like low nute doses. The smoke is great though, when you exhale it tastes like candy

Well I tell you I think this strain is pretty stable. Not that many variations in seeds with phenos all smell like kandy during flower. I grew 5 from seed there were all pretty uniform even in flower. No mother just take clones from plants about to flower. I run a perpetual so there's always something to clip clones from.

What kind of medium do you use in your perpetual? any tips or tricks to share with this fine speciman lol

She's super easy to clone in my bubbleponics cloner. I'd say 14 to 20 days if you can keep the water temps low and you'll have one ready for transplant. All of mine go straight into FFOF (personal preference) and veg for about 8 to 10 weeks before I flower then in 3 gallon smart pots. By the time one is done I have one ready to go

Tips tricks lol I will give you one the PE produces well with a little lst I use 5 gallon buckets FFOF with lime mixed in.

i wish the 2 i fem i ordered were females vegged for 3 months took clpnes didnt label a few so now i have pineapple express X kandy kush,exile,blugum,rocklock,papaya,bluemystic and hollands hope so i'm confused pissed i got a crop full of seeds but boy do i have a variaty now good luck and burn1

agreed about slow veg, fast flowering. has very thin sativa leaves, but fairly short and consistent internodes. little variation in phenos, though one was clearly the best of them all... vegging it out into a big bush before flowering it. the yield is higher if the plant is topped and LSTed. the buds are huge and dense, smell like fresh tropical fruit, with a hint of eucalyptus. once cured, I can detect a bit of haze there too...also maybe some pineapple, but not very distinct...gives a very nice high...happy, doesn´t put you to sleep, but gives a pleasant buzz all over the body...also seems to make music sound richer and feel better...

Thats too bad about the duds, have you tried growin out any of those exotic crosses yet?
