which one of trump's buddies will be profiting off of your incarceration?
Never thought this would happen, but for once you and I are on the same team UB. Private prisons are just wrong. Asset forfeiture is too. Very disappointed on these two decisions.

Private prisons, muslim bans, deportations, conflicts of interest, collusion with foreign governments, fraud, insider trading, voter suppression, sexual assault, spousal abuse, child endangerment, anti Semitism, racism, sexism, infidelity, lying, lying, lying, a cabinet filled with billionaires and steve bannon are just wrong. Asset forfeiture is too. Very disappointed on these two decisions.

no we're not.

you voted for these things, i voted against them.

you got conned because you are stupid and racist, and thus made a good mark for trump.

imagin how stupid you have to be to get conned by a washed up celebrity who once posed as his own publicist.

I think ending the police state and prison industrial complex are things we can agree on in terms of liberal vs conservative viewpoints.

We should concentrate on finding more of them, rather than constantly screaming about the differences, no matter how petty. I'll admit I'm as guilty as the next guy- and I've noticed that it doesn't work.

So what do you, and all the conservative leaners here think of that? I think I speak for the majority when I say that the country isn't working very well for either group of us at the moment, at least not personally. Time to try another tack?

Capitalism and Government should not mix. Ever. Look at the issue with lobby..sales people trained to push an agenda dangling cash..what senator or congressman can resist?

Money.

Why won't @UncleBuck change his political position?

Money.

Provatized prisons are a showcase of Republican mores. It’s okay; we’re only repressing those who don’t matter.
If you're forced to fund a public or private prison when you aren't involved with any of the prisoners or their crimes* real or imagined, aren't you repressed then ?

The problem isn't so much who owns the prisons, it's why are they full of people who never created an actual victim? Both public and private prisons exist in large part to make money for parasites.

Further for those who DID create an actual victim, rather than have "the public" pay to maintain them in prison, they should be made to restitute their victims and work to sustain themselves while doing that, rather than have disinterested parties subsidize them and house them.

*actual crime, where a person or their property etc is actually vicitmized, not malum prohibitum horseshit crimes which should be abolished

Publicly owned prisons ? It's a crime to fail to allow them to take your money to pay for prisons that house people for victimless crimes.
Which is absurd and evidence that even public prisons are maintained for profit. Who gets the contract to build them? Who supplies them?

All the way from the judges, prosecutors down to the guards. janitors and parole officers...it's a profiteering jobs program...with pensions.
Most of it not needed.
