Great video, thanks for the info.
I don't like these things, I hope it doesn't catch on but it probably will, if it's as good as they try to make it sound it mght be cool but I think it's a bad idea.

Nah... no worries I knew it was old but seems I spotted it at the right time, because they are getting close to going public or at least letting more information out. You still have to fuel it somehow, but its got to be cheaper then the #!*&! electricity we pay now.

I really like how he talks of bringing consistent power to remote places on the planet...

Some of you guys are very lucky that you can rely on your power... many poor places on earth don't have power... or it's very unreliable and is on only like 60% of the time.

This is a great idea though I'm surprised I haven't heard of it until now.

i think it sounds great but they didn't get into how much the fuel itself was costing, although the google guy did claim to save 100k in less than a year. for the people who don't like it, what's the major concern? i would be concerned about reliability, but like any technology, that should come with time and experience. i remember being a kid in the early 90s when the home computer was just starting to go mainstream, and if i remember correctly people balked and called them expensive and unnecessary playthings, and that the technology is not practical to be in everyone's home. my mother told me they were for rich people. now it's 20 years later and a lot of schools use ipads instead of textbooks. i don't think the segway comparison was fair.

how would you fuel it by solar panels? that makes no sense to power it with electricity. he says it at 8:40

that would be fantastic for homes.

lol what if you bought like 5 of them and sold the extra power back to the power company at their more expensive rates? you could make a killing, assuming they dont break

I don't like it because they said it takes oxygen and turns it into electricity, it brethes air through a membrain, and it's a machine and produces energy- I don't like it because it will compete with humans for oxygen and is a step in evolution of machines- machines that breath and run off air- No Thanks!
Robots will build these then use them for powersources and improve upon them and then eliminate us because were using up their resources

Wow did you just watch the matrix?

Interesting concept , but i am a skeptic. With $400 Million dollars you could bribe people to say they use it.

It was intended to use electricity to produce oxygen yet when you run it backwards you need fuel to power it. That means along with oxygen it would produce fuel. The producing fuel part is where i find it a little obscure.

the fucked up thing is i can't rebuttle that. it's just plausible enough i suppose. we'll all be cyborgs one day so i say bring it on. if robots did that shit we could fight them with magnets and replace their fluids with acid. fuck robots.

I also thought in 100 years we will run out of air  I mean we are tearing down so many trees as it is...
