Lets talk all things Dyna-Gro and ProMix.
Please limit discussion to ProMix mediums and Dyn-Gro products.

Hopefully we can get @homebrewer to jump in with us.

I have had great success as a new grower using promix hp and dyna-gro foliage pro. Was easy to work with both the medium and the nutes.

The promix hp had great drainage and when used in fabric pots it made watering easy for a noob.

The dyna-gro fp produced healthy plants and was easy to use as a one part nute line. Admittedly I also used protekt and kln as supplements.

I found the protekt really raised the ph and it stayed stable, took a fair amount of ph down to get it where it needed to be.

So I ask, is the dyna-gro ph up and down a reliable and stable way to drop the ph without needing buckets of it?

Has anyone used any combination of the promix and dyna lines? Let's talk about their products and different combinations between the two.

I couldn't find anymore of the HP around here so I had to opt for their
Potting mix.

The potting mix, I think may need to be cut down with some perlite for extra drainage but the medium itself looks really nice.

I have enough hp for a couple of clones, so I'm going to run a cloning test with the hp and the potting mix.

Cuts from the same plant, dyn-gro kln, protekt and Ph'd tap water will be used.

Take a look at MAD FARMER pH products.....
Down is 50% more effective then others I used and longer lasting less swing as far as I was concerned..
Try a small bottle and see if it works for you as well.

I have been experimenting with not pH-ing my inputs when watering in promix and things have been totally normal for the last 6 months. That being said, you may be using too much protect.

In regards to pH products, I started using pH up from Grow More which is around 3x more concentrated than the one made by GH. I'll be using that product moving forward.

I used a 25% rate but without nutes due to seedling stage. Without nutes and the solid ph of the protekt it took a bunch of down to get it back in range.

I have a couple nl in the promix potting soil, they perked up nice after a week or so being in the new medium. I'm not sure how hot the PS is but I did manage to burn a couple of tips on their first feed with a mix of 25% rate of kln, protekt and fp.

Backed off the nutes and their plugging along well.

Are you still using the HP or have you started using other mediums?

Great to hear that about Grow More.. I had switched over to pH products from Advanced Nutrients since they seemed to be stronger than those made by GH. but I would much rather use something made by Grow More. You can't beat their prices, either whether it be their pH products or even their enzyme. There's a huge savings with them. I am super happy with Promix HP with the added Vermiculite in 3 gallon fabric pots using Pro-TeKt and Foliage Pro from start to finish. The only thing is that I am having to water daily which is a chore in a warehouse op. I need to put together a top feed drip system of some kind to make things a little easier. Honestly, I am thinking seriously about trying out the flood tables that you also run. We'll see.
