yes, just place in your jar and your good to go. I also lay my jars on their sides, not standing upright. and they are laying on my basement floor (72* and 45% r/h) and in total darkness.

Noob questions: How long before its ready? Or at least how long? Also is it necessary to hang your buds, or just put them directly into optimal humidity condition via magic pak
Most of the people I talk to, and the rule of thumb that I go by as well. Minimum 2 weeks, everything past that makes it that much better. You don't need to hang them, but you need to let them dry out a little somehow. I usually use a rack and trim my nugs into smaller nugs. (I've had a few problems with mold when hanging my huge ass buds") Depending on the humidity of the room it takes a few days I start curing when the stems either snap, or are about to snap.

Yea, I've had jars just rolling around on my bed. I'm a little careless sometimes

To dispel some of the fear that might be out there. Your bud will get moldy if you don't dry it first, with or without the pack. There is a lot of water in the plant material that needs time to escape before you send it to the curing stage. So make sure you dry!!!

for anyone wondering about two-way humidity solutions for larger areas than a boveda pack can handle - look into beads used for cigar humidors. heartfelt is one brand, the ones I use for my cigar collection are hcm cigar beads.

They work essentially the same way as boveda packets, albeit using a different medium. I keep a 28 bottle wine refrigerator at rock-solid 65% using about 8oz of HCM beads - not for weeks or months - but YEARS at a time with very little maintenance.

"maintenance" involves sitting a dish with distilled water and a new sponge in it inside the fridge for 24-48 hours. recharges the beads, good for another 6-8 months.

I don't see any reason why these couldn't be repurposed for a sealed curing cabinet of any size, just add more beads.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Decided been putting these off long enough just ordered 6 -4 packs of the 60 gram 62% baggies. Should be enough for the what i have curing right now. Should be to me by the 13th. I had some amazon promo codes so they came to $12.95 for each 4 pack but then I had some discount promo money left so total cost was $0.00 so we will see. ill post back in this thread once they come if no objection.
