I was thinking about trying these to avoid my plants becoming root-bound, Has anyone else tried an Air-pot.

Im growing in soil and the Hempy buckets seem to waste a lot of nutrients while you wait for the plant to fill in the bucket.or u could read the hempy pot grow thread or watch the hempy pot grow vid on youtube and save who knows how much money. 3 gal buckets are less than 2 bucks at lowes.
its the shape of the plastic material the pots are made from. The side have convexted and concaved areas, with Holes in the sides.......the root can NOT circle the pot and can grow to the holes in the side.....then good old Air does the rest, the roots are pruned from being exposed to the Air/light on the sides........thats best way I can explain without a pic. They do work, but are a pain the the ass to water.....I use my own mix of soils and perlite.....and the water will shoot out the side holes if I water to fast to quick.seen a lot of people using these. but how do they keep your plants from being root bound???
geez im going to have to get some then!Last 2 cycles I've had 6-7' plants in the 2.5 gallon airpots. Love them.
I have and do use Air-pots as well as the 420 grow system pots, do a search and you will find my post on both units. The air pots are great, with the exception that watering must be done slowly or the water will shoot out the upper holes and never make it to the bottom. I like both pots, but have been using the 420 grow system pots (bottom watering pots) as they use less water and that = less nutes. I use the 5 gallon 420 pots and the 4.3gallon Air pots..........I have not noticed a difference in yield or plant heath between the two.....but its hard to say because I never grow the same strain twice.

There was a thread at Riddle3me on Rootmaker products. I use Rootbuilder. Cheap, and you can custom make them to any size.anyone else have any experience with these products?
