The Truth About Flushing

So what’s the crack has anyone tried this? Has anyone dose a side by side test or what
Yes, indeed. A company that actually manufactures and sells nutrients even:

Disclaimer: I never flush. My experience over the years based on feedback by my users coincides with the results of that study.

Very interesting read mate I appreciate it, is there any experiments on the drowning pre harvest tho?

"Drowning"? Never heard of it. By "never heard of it" I mean that I don't know any grower anywhere who's ever mentioned they do such a thing (me included).

No magic will create instantaneously larger buds in the final weeks, days, or hours. Some people believe tricks do work for that, but I've yet see anyone put up a proper scientific study to back any of these claims.

I grow and harvest my cannabis the same way I do any other fruit, vegetable, flower or plant I've ever grown. Water, nutrients, light and when the plant is done, harvest.

I’m referring to the thing that’s supposed to kickstart the fermentation process that was spoke about, which is supposed to make a 7 day cure taste like a 30 day cure

This is what I was referring too “There is an old hippie growers myth that says to soak the roots in water for 3 to 10 days before harvest this is not to be confused with the flush that everyone talks about (you all know I don't flush before harvest, I flush always) the tip/myth is supposed to improve the quality of our smoke. I have to admit that I never paid it much attention until now because I have now proven it is not a myth and has some scientific validation.”

There are always going to be those that think flushing removes nutrients from the plant and that a starved plant with yellow leaves falling off is how a plant should look at harvest. They will always believe that because thier buddy told them or they heard it from some hack on youtube.

To hell with actual scientific studies that prove otherwise. They have their alternate science called Stoner Science and there is nothing anyone can say or do to convince them otherwise. It doesn't help that nutrient companies are selling flushing products. Naive growers without any knowledge of plant science take stoner science as fact. I'm done trying to convince anyone anything about flushing because I don't care anymore. It's their yields they're hurting not mine. If they want to pay $20 for a bottle of water and 20¢ worth of epsom salts with a name like Super Flawless Final Flush and descriptions like "Sweetens the bud" then let them.

That's what it is a myth. If you do it don't forget to boil the roots to push all the resin to the buds as well.

I do a pressure flush. I insert lines directly into the plant and using a constant low pressure force my flushing solution through the plant. This allows me to also add different flavorings to the flushing solution. The choices are endless. I've done chocolate, vanilla, mango, blueberry, and many other flavors. I used beef bullion once to really try and beef up the buds. The weed ended tasting like pot roast. It was quite tasty but missing something. Next time I do a beef flush I'm going to use some carrot and potato flavor so that I get a complete meal when I take a hit. For my next run I'm going to use coconut water on a Pineapple Kush to get buds that taste like a Pina Colada. I tried doing a Twinkie flush but the cake part didn't really mix well with the flushing solution and clogged the lines. But I haven't given up and am confident I'll find a solution. Can you just imagine Twinkie flavored weed? Hmm, now I'm thinking of Doritos's. Taco, Nacho Cheese, or Cool Ranch. Decisions decisions...

LOL. With that intravenous method, one could even cut all of those needy, useless roots off the plant.

Dude, what the fuck! You have to be extremely careful doing a powerflush like that! How many kilometers/miles does she have on her? You could dislodge some of the old crud that's actually sealing any leak she might have.
