Did you Weed Nerds see where Magweedo of the CCC420 suffered a collapsed lung in his early 20's off of long BHO dabs? If that's not proof, I don't know what is...
Funny you say that a friend of mine only 28 just suffered over the Christmas holidays with a collapsed lung and all he smoked was oil that he bought off the street and sometimes made his own, this is why I'll only smoke weed or bubble

I just watched a video on youtube that showed the company in Europe that developed Sativex. In the process of making the drug the company developed several strains of marijuana. Which they patented. The company keeps the strains under lock and key and refuse to allow the seeds outside of their company. They also said that if anyone should steal "their" genetics they would be sued. Sub how do you feel about this. Do you think someone can/should be able to patent or own a strain. I understand about trademarking a name but a plant? Also Sub do you think that this will be the norm if MJ is legalized? Where big companies get into the business and virtually take it over because of the resources available to them. Thanks.

One word = Monsanto. Otherwise known as the devil.

Supreme court says patenting genetics is legal.

It's sad...

and it's becoming an agricultural norm...

It is sad.

I am seeing a future where there are still many different varieties of cannabis, but there are also some seriously good, seriously patented, GM cannabis. Who knows though. Look at the wine industry. With all the high volume wineries, there are also many small connoisseur, niche market wineries that are making it. I think what a lot of what it will come down to is that the consumer must eschew any kind of "corporate" cannabis that kills the diversity and creativity we see in the cannabis world today. (Much like the reasons why one must not use fem seeds)

They're going to want to genetically modify it so that it has salamander or duck-billed plattypus dna or something stupid in it that feminises and sterilizes it and then they won't release it until it has 742 different kinds of poison added to it. They can build whatever they want, i would be ok with the strains available right now.

I can just see all of us in the future... "Down with big cannabis!" :D
I am scared about the future of cannabis. I am very glad breeders like Soma and Subcool are around. I love that their seeds are created using organic supersoil and I really admire the fact that Sub doesnt buy into the feminized seeds.

I am starting a seed collection... you never know when shit is going to hit the fan and the only thing available will be feminzed AUTO haha.

I bet you none of these guys working on genetically modified cannabis have ever smoked cannabis, it's a dead end. Support the best breeders of today, and save seeds for tomorrow.

All this terpene talk got my wheels turning this weekend...after keeping my head in books and magazines for 3 days.I found out that there are over 200 terpenoids found in cannibas..and like sub said a experienced grower could nail the medicinal properties by the smell...no wonder we have favorite plants...mine is my LEMON GAS...some of the terpens I can describe are...limo nene helps with my anxiety...beta-caryophyllene..anti-inflammatory...caryophyllene oxide....repels insects....bugs hate that plant...I want to thank all the nerds for the info ....but one question....what's your favorite terpene and why.....you medical states might think this is old news.but to me it's another weapon for the fight for medical down here....dirty

I like a chemical, gasoline, turpentine, diesel type crossed with with a super fruity strain. Say a Chemdog X Cindy 99 or something like that. Fruity and Pine go good together as well.

I grew Chem99 (Cindy99 x Chem D) outdoors this year. It wasn't fruity though...very chem dominate. But the buds were not that dense. I got them as clones so I imagine that if you had the beans you could find that magical pheno. Best kief/hash maker on the up side. The kief melts every time and will even condense into hash if left in a warm spot...no pressing.

Talkin Terpenes.....my fav......Pine........Gotta love it........at least I'm a sucker for that Piney Pine......Oh yea I started a shit ton of seeds (yea including some fems....freebies....got tired of havin them around) just couldn't throw them out....hopefully they won't even come up.....Started 5 each of vortex and flav(which were the first to pop out of the soil).11 third dimension, 6 JTR and a strain called Medicine(my Piney Pine)....and yea they all sprouted between 72 and 96 hrs(my tga strains).....still waiting on most of the fems to sprout......Those fems will never get to see my TGA genetics.....I just don't think their worthy enough ....lol Peace
