Yea, yhe dumbass captain is a fucking moron! Talks all this big talk, yet he cant do shit for himself! And this is so dumb, how are they going to stop whaling? The japs arent the only ones doing research... I like laughing my ass off when im high watching these green ass worms! They dont know jack squat about hard labor work! And the women on the boat, omg! The talk all this shit, then shit hits the fan and they get all sczred, lmao!

the captain sucks, hes always talking about how they have to be willing to risk there lives, when he's not even willing to risk his. he doesnt care about the whales.

first of all, let me say that i think whaling is retarded, but saying that, this show is beyond retarded.. who the f are these people to tell another country how to think and what they are doing is legal or illegal?? sounds just like the us to push it's ethics on another country doesn't it???? maybe that captain should run for the next us president.. he sure is nutso enough for the job..
and i love how they act as if they stop these three ships from whaling is going to stop whaling all together... there are probably five other fleets out there doing the same research at the same time that this dumb ass captain is chasing around the nishi murha and the other two ships, lol..
i tried watching the show, i really did, but i can't support terrorists, no matter if what i think they are doing is a worthy cause or not.. they are still simply terrorists..

there is a WORLD policy on whaling. the japanese are violating it under the guise of "research".

the japanese get to fill a "quote" of 1000 whales per season.

last season they only filled half their quote as a direct results of the efforts against them.

the captain is kinda a tool.

actually, there is world wide BAN on whaling, and japan signed the agreement.

and to the guy that said 'look at how we treat chickens!'

difference is that a chicken takes a year or two to fully mature.

most of the chickens you eat from the grocery store are under a year old when they're killed. a single chicken and rooster can 'produce' over 300 fertilized eggs that will hatch into chicks pretty quickly....

whales live to be 40-50 years old and do not procreate like chickens do.... anyways.... screw that captain. he seems a little off. last season he almost rammed a ship more than twice the size of his, risking his entire crews lives.... they ended up just doing a very close almost crash, but that type of irresponsibility cannot be tolerated from the CAPTAIN. i understand the little rubber boats doing crazy shit, but the 'mother ship' which basically serves as an operation's center in the middle of the sea.... that deserves a little bit more care.... anyways....

who feels like some whale sushi tonight???

im pretty sure that some huge incident happend and they got the japanese to stop early. I think it march or something when they were sposed to go until mid june. it could also have something to do with the quake and tsunami tho.

I am glad they've got people out there stopping the whalers (could care less about the whalers lives at this point) and would love to join them... because I'd proudly fight a 'war' in the name of any animal that was being abused here on this planet, just because I am human does not mean I am above any other living creature here... and when dumb fucks like the Japanese whalers go and violate an international ban on whaling, I'll be right there throwing the molotovs on the bridges of their ships.

They just need to start sinking the ships now, of course not while anyone is on board... but we've got the information on the dock's they use in Japan, sabotage baby!

And don't get me wrong, I support traditional whaling like those of the native Alaskans, I understand it is a sustenance requirement... however the Japanese do not need whales (it's a luxury food).

You're right, the Sea Shepherd's were successful in cutting the whaling season in half this year due to their great efforts... the whalers were spending much more on operating the boat/paying the crew and eventually passed the line of no profit return, thus making the decision to call back the fleet the only logical choice.

Way to go Paul Watson!

The real terrorists are the humans the perpetrate these unnecessary atrocities against their fellow creatures on Earth, not protectors of these animals like Sea Shepherd (who do a lot more than just protect whales, they protect all sorts of ocean animals).

Fuck the Japanese whalers, sink their ships... I hope they all end up on the street begging for change, they did this to themselves.

IMHO the only people that should be killing whales are the inuits....they only kill a few per village to feed themselves and oils and shit...but i agree, people are the real clusterfuck of the world......and yeah fuck the japs and thier boats...lets feed OUR whales with japs lol

Exactly, traditional whaling, or traditional hunting of any kind... is a beautiful thing to see, and the appreciation the hunters have for these animals is tremendous.

And I know a few Orca's that would love to taste some Japanese sushi of the human kind, lol... ;-)

so the only thing to eat in alaska is whale?

couldn't they raise pens of baby seals instead?

:?
Seal is very popular too... it's all about what nature provides and whales can supply a village for a much longer time than seals.

The weather also plays a big factor as many days you won't be able to see 15ft in front of you (the bush is very windy and snowstorms are horrible there, like the sandstorms in the middle east) so to kill one whale and feed the village takes a big worry off the hearts of many native Alaskans.

:-)

If you ever come visit, I'll have to get my buddy to find you some "stinky flipper"... ;-)

they could just order some beef.

the japanese have a culture behind eating whale as well. seems sort of hypocritical to me. a whale is a whale, no matter how nice you talk to it before you take it's life.
