"The whiter the Ash, the better the weed." True?

Interestingly enough, I just heard this phrase last week. I was wondering if it's true because my crop produces some WHITE ash.

i think it has something to do with the flushing. like a good flushed plant will have white ash and a plant that isnt flushed good or at all will have black gunky ash
