Okie dokie peoples and people-ets, im about to attemp my first full hydro grow is this all i need to get started?.
also if there is anything here i've missed please let me know.
Items so far:
- 2 big ass bags of clay balls
- many of rockwool cubes (40's and 75's)
- bag of perlite (not sure if i even need it but might come in handy for my lil cloning encolsure)
- water pump (and all hose fittings)
- 2 buckets/tubs both at least 900mm x 600mm but one is only 200mm deep (clayball/plant tub) the other is about 400mm deep(water tub).
Grow room details are:
- 1m x 1m x 2m cupboard (not fixed to anything - moveable)
- using 100w compact fluro (only till HPS arrives and can afford)
- got a 120mm exhaust fan imbedded in the cupboard to extract nasties
- got a tower type fan which stands about 1m on low speed.
- inside cupboard has been painted flat white.
Basicially i going to try the Mr Green method (that funny green dude on youtube) where he has 2 buckets one for water, one for balls and plants.
Now to me it looked pretty simple, just hook the water tub to the plant tub via a hose (to get water in) and also place another hose connecting both buckets but only having about 50mm or so visible in the plant tub (so once the water level gets to 50mm it just drops back down into water tub).
Is that the general idea or am i way off?
