think i might have veged too long. 1st time grow tent 1000 watt hps.

last tues day i put 4 skunk # 1 s into the flowering tent which measures 4x4x 7 ft high. Today i moved 3 sage x og kush plants in there and tomorrow ill add a 4th. the problem is that all of these plants are about 3+ ft high. and right now the lamp is about 2 ft above the canopy and i only have about a ft. more left to raise it. AZre these plants going to outgrow the tent? And is there anything i can do to inhibit vertical growth. Ive topped them once.

your in trouble. try to lst them to shorten them.....

tie the tops down as far as you can without breaking the main stem, every day you should be able to pull it a little farther down.

What is the ventilation system like in your tent. Does your hps have inline ventilation or a fan blowing directly on the bulb?

Yah, listen to orecal. tie the branches down. You'll also get a better yeild this way because the bud will get alot more light exposure. Oh wait he said tie the tip down. That will also work. But when the plant is done its gonna look funny. But its all about the quality and quanity of the bud. Not the looks of the plant. But. tying the branches down will also induce vorizontal growing quite a bit. Youll be glad you did come harvest

Are they on the floor in pots???Just curios I'm growing in a tent also using ebb and flow tray used as drip with a reservoir I think I might have to start bending soon or get a shorter reservoir thats wider so i can get some more vertical space.

Absolutely! Actually might try this on purpose in a couple of grows, try to grow 'em to where they HAVE to be tied down. Used to do it w/outdoor when I was a kid sometimes, just to see how long of a row I could get

either that or top em, but tying them down is a waaaaaayyyyy better decision

OK. Let me dig around for the pics. 3 skunk#1 I had to throw away because they turned herm but the one I harvested gave me 3 oz. and I only veged it to around 24 inches. By far my best yeilding plant Ive grown. And the buds were delicious. Around the end of flowering at night time after the lights went out it gave off an acrid pukey stomach acid stinky smell. And the strain is acctually called "the pure" I forget the breeder. I bought the clones from the med club. The tall lanky sativas I got stretched big time but the stalks were bendable enough at the top where I could bend them over. The buds were very loose but there was alo to them. But as far as I was concerned I didnt feel like smoking the buds so I turned everything into bubble and yeilded around 16 grams of dark marble picture perfect greasy bubble hash. I guess it was a successful grow. I was just pissed at the buds from the unknown sativa but made some dank hash none the less.
