Thinking about buying a laptop

So i've been thinking about buying a laptop. I want something under $700, ~15" screen, at least 100 gig HD, ~2 gig processor, and 2-3 gigs of ram. It will mostly be used for music, movies and the internet with a little bit of gaming.

A quick search of newegg brought me to this Newegg.com - HP Pavilion DV6911US NoteBook AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 3GB Memory 200GB HDD 4200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 7150M - Laptops / Notebooks

I was wondering if anyone has seen/used this laptop and how they like it. OR does anyone have a good suggestion for a different laptop that meet my requirements?

HP has always treated me well. Just keep them maintained, and have a good antivirus, they will run well for a long time.

just dont buy a dell.....i have a dell and when ever something happens to it its such a pain in the ass to get anything for it because it all has to be ordered from dell....you ever try and order something off the internet when your computer is down.......not that friggin easy

I have had a IBM Thinkpad R40 and this Dell 1725 that I am on right now. I would never buy a lappy to replace a desktop though. I think that you should have both.

ordered! can't wait to get it! should be here within the next week I even got the good 2 year warranty plan on it. its gonna end up being about 800 total after I send in the rebate, but at least i'll feel good knowing that after it ends up broken in some drunken college party, i'll be able to send it back and get it fixed

my room mate freshman year puked on his laptop after a night of drinking. he had his face on it and was sleeping, and the next thing i heard was him ralphing on it.
it was a dell, so he sent it away and they fixed it. it was hilarious cause he unfolded a paper clip and tried chipping off dried puke the next day. priceless
