Thinking about T5.

Just got a new grow box in. Not a huge operation here. It’s a 3x3x5’2. Thinking about using T5 Bulbs. Gonna buy a double fixture that’s 2 feet long. May run two fixtures. However these fixtures are rated for 14 watt bulbs per slot. Not sure if 1 fixture with 2 bulbs or two fixtures and a total of 4 bulbs is required. I would like to house 2 mothers and have 2 clones going in this veg box under these lights. Is this sufficient? Or am I better off grabbing one 4 bulb fixture from growbloom that comes with 4 24HO T5 Bulbs at 6500k? Trying to grow some nice stuff cheaply. I would like to save money in electrical costs and don’t want to fork over money for a CMH or an LED. I do have a 400 watt MH. And I want to steer away from using it. The grow box set me back a bit. Got an IPower box.

Now if I wanted to flower two plants in the same size tent can I use T5 again? I been reading I need some red spectrum and I know the T5 don’t provide. So what would I do? And would the same light fixture be enough?

I'd just use the 400W MH for now and save up for a decent LED setup. (one that's 50% or more efficiency) or CMH.

T5 are expensive and obsolete.

I'd just ask the LED section before buying something because there's so much worthless crap on the market. It's hard to make the same mistake with CMH.

Obviously 400W HPS is a good option too.

Don't listen to him he can't hear. I understand you said your trying to save on spending on electricity. An would prefer not to spend a whole lot of electricity to cool a 400 Watt mh. Save your money if you can't afford to run a hot house. Then T5 will save you a ton. Im currently going to be using a T5 2ft 4 bulb fixture. It's your choice but I would say go with T5 from start to finish. An see how you like it. Is too your electric bill an if it's enough smoke for you. I saw some huge colas on threads with T5. Most will bash it, but that's life. It's all about how you use it. Is close is possible. I will be using 6,500 k for veg and 2,600 k for flower. I'd say try it out but researcher on how to make the best with it. If you decide to go that route. Go to youtube type ajgrowsalot he can teach you some key pointers
