For an extemely efficient LED designed to replace a 1000W HPS, check out the HLG 550 V2 Rspec quantum board. I'm running its baby brother in my 2x2 tent.
So pulling bout 480 from wall gonna replace 1000 watts um no.

How do i know i have a hlg 550 v2.
Replacement for a 600watt maybe if u have heat issues.

I also have run 630 watts of cmh i dont like them by them selfs buds just dont look right.

So i run a 600watt hps and a 315 in 1 4x4 tent and in the other i run 550 hlg with a 315cmh

in my opion the 550 hlg does not replace a 1000watt hps

Grow for fun only

The big Legal producers still use HID because they are more cost effective. Meaning its cheaper to produce bud under HPS then it is under LED lighting. There are some LED lights that equal or are better then HPS watt for watt but there extra costs upfront make them a less cost effective then HPS lights even in the long run.

That will change but I've been waiting 19 years for LED lights to live up to their potential for being more cost effective then HID lights, so i would advise not holding your breath until it does.
I have a customer who was looking into LED's about two years ago. They bought 4x Fluence Spyders $2300 CDN landed to test them. They grew pretty good and were getting 2+lb per light. Problem was the price of weed collapsed and they had 200 lights to replace. Gravitas at the time were about $555 (They were buying 100 at at time). They ended up going with Gavitas as you can see the cost $621(after taxes) for Gavita or $2300 for the Fluence. If if they saved $300 on Fluence for bulk buy it just was no where cost effective. They're getting 2.5/lb average on the Gavitas, same as the Fluence.
