I'm moving shortly and will have a walk-in closet directly off of my bedroom (ie. no reason at all for anyone to ever find themselves back there). It has some very convenient shelving already in it, so I figure I'll try my hand at vertical growing.
I have roughly 5x6x7 to work with and a 600w digital light and a currently untested 1000w ballast. I figure I will swap them with something else to get a 1000w digital setup.
I am relatively unfamiliar with vertical grows and the theories that go along with them. I know the 'standard' plant limit for a 1000w horizontal grow is 16 per 4x4 area. That would equal out to 62.5w per plant. With a vertical grow though, do the same rules apply? For example, I could potentially have 50 plants, leaving only 20w per plant...?
I know that 2x1000w would be ideal, but I don't have that kind of hydro leniancy.
I will likely go through with my vertical plan in some shape or form regardless, so anyone with any vertical experience, please enlighten me.
