Thirps... should I even bother getting rid of them?

First grow is coming to a close (about 2 weeks to harvest) I just noticed a very minor Thirps problem. Its mainly on a new plant that I just put into flower, and just now started effecting the 3 I am about to harvest. I have neem oil, but dont know if I should even bother spraying for them on the later plants or not since I am so close to harvest. And when I say a minor infection, i mean it has shown on several leaves, but it has taken me days to even find one thirp. I will for sure spray the younger plants that I have in flower, as they are on their 4th week (Sour D that goes to about 10weeks). Right now its only effecting the plants I have in flower, but I plan to spray down the veg room as well. I have some seedlings that are about 3 weeks old now, can they be sprayed with the neem or should I wait?
Also do I just mix up the neem oil in a spray bottle dilluted as directed, and just spray the leaves? One last question, as this is my first grow, I understand thirps are not all that bad, but is there any reason I should harvest early just for a minor thirp problem? Thanks!

Ok will do. How about the plants that are about to be harvested (about two weeks away)? Will neem oil have a negative affect on the buds if I spray that plant? I dont think its bad enough at all on the ones I am about to harvest, but since this is my first harvest I just wanted some advice. I just sprayed underside and tops of all the rest of my plants though, even if I didnt notice the thrip marks, so it should be under control now, hopefully.

Do not spray neem oil on your buds prior to harvest and it will ruin the trichomes (dissolves/contaminate them). Don't use neem for this use insecticidal soap. I sprayed my plants up to 2 weeks prior to harvest and it was fine. For my large thrip infestation I used Spinosad but you are to close to harvest for that. Just use some insecticidal soap.
