This has got me a bit worried...

So I was reading a thread on the SR forums and someone brought up a good point. He was talking about how a buyer in Washington state was recently arrested and he claims that he always used PGP. However, it was his vendor's (NOD) sloppiness, keeping his address in plain text that got him arrested. NOD's packages were also under surveillance, and they also found further evidence to convict said buyer.

That is what worries me. Now I haven't made a order since December but there is still a chance that one of the vendors I bought from was sloppy and kept my info unencrypted. I just hope none of them get pinched.

In addition to what I already mentioned today some other person wrote on the forum(reddit) saying that his buddy in LE gave him a call to tell him a large task force is being assembled to serve warrants to suspected vendors/buyers in California. After what LE said last week, to expect more arrests in the upcoming weeks,

Keep all your shit outta your crib,of course number one rule..no phone talk..if you're really paranoid, deep erase your harddrive,I hope you were inclined to use disposable/loadable cards for your bitcoins..if you're super paranoid contact respective partys, demanding a heads up if there are any unauthorized inquiries regarding your accounts with I.s.p. or card company's..
If you're really really paranoid, take out an 80k contract on NOD..LOL!
For real tho, when the law dog assembles a very expensive team to do some dirty work, its as tight lipped as the mob, unless your friend is in with them or is fucking the team leader,id take the info serious, but with a little salt..and again..clear out your house for the forseeable future..a few doses and a gun could have you waxed in court..especially with other charges..

Hmmmm... 900,000 users on the silk road. Perhaps 100,000 actually make a purchase.

Dem prisons gonna be full in no time.

Biggest mass drug arrest in history be coming. They're just holding off until they get the new prisons built.

Based on what the guy claiming to be a busted buyer is saying he was ordering 5g of dope at a time from Nod. That's a fairly serious charge anywhere.

I think whatever case they might be able to mount, so long as there is no physical evidence in your posession or control is so full of holes a pd could get you off.

He said he still had some of his last order but I really doubt he's going to get more than the possession charge if they have no evidence he was reselling. I'm guessing the vendor who resold his gear is pretty fucked though.

Sounds like vacation time..7 years of not finding you to charge you and the warrant is nullified..not that I think this situation is that drastic..

Statute of limitations varies crime to crime. If you weren't ordering hard drugs or bulk quantities I'd say you're safe.
