this is my first grow with cfl's... i had no money and had little resources...

Use every light you have! I have 6 2700's and 6 5500k's

thanx... ill do what i can...limited to amount of sockets... but i will c what i can come up with...

Ok... well i have been able to come up with another double socket... so this is the new set-up...

I have 2x19 Watt 6500k in the top double socket, 2x13 Watt 2700k right above plant
(have to hit store and buy a couple higher watt 2700k bulbs tonight)... and 1x13 Watt 6500k in between those...

this is how they look right now...

The plant itself is doing great...



flowering starts tonight... switched lights to 12-12 this morning so shes good to go...

i figure i have to get a couple more higher watt 2700k's to make up for the 6500k lights... should have them tonight or tomorrow...

now the fun begins...lol i'll update again in a day or so to let u guys know how shes going... till then...

looking good! this is when it seems like every hour for the first couple weeks its changing couldnt keep my eyes off her! just finishing my first grow enjoy man.

Yeah, expect it to explode with height during this next week or two. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you in the hopes that she is a she.

jst a small corner of the closet in my bedroom... about 2x2' by 4' high.

i stunned her with an hour or two here and there during the night phase of 18/6.. so she is already showing pistils... she she is definatly a she...

Beautiful! Now I don't have to keep my fingers crossed for two weeks!

well.. i went to walmart today... so i picked up 2 more 23Watt 2700k cfl's and 2x"Y" splitters... so now the total is:
2x23Watt 2700k, 2x13Watt 2700k, 2x19Watt 6500k and 1x13Watt 6500k... 123Watts total output, split is 51Watts 6500k and 72Watts 2700k... more 2700k because its flowering.

been on 12/12 for 2 days now so i dont wanna interrupt her sleep, so i'll get some new pics up tomorrow...

ok... so yesterday i went to walmart and picked up 2 more lights and a couple "Y" splitters...

this is how they look now.


plants is doing really well too...



total is 123Watts actual power output... equivalent to 470Watts... split is
51Watts 6500k, 72Watts 2700k.

looks good, make sure to keep the lights fairly close but the plant's looking sexy right now

i cant seem to figure out how to get the larger lights closer to the plant... im limited to how many light sockets i have, but i will try my best to get them as close as possible...

the 3x13Watt lights are about 2-4 inches above her...

but the higher watt lights are harder to get close because of the socket they are in...

they are about 6-8 inches from the plant. i have to disassemble and rewire the room in order to do it... just dont have the motivation...lol... i'll probably get it done tomorrow...

had to go to canadian tire for some things... so i picked up 2 cheap wall-mount sockets and some wire...

added the "Y" sockets to the wall to get them closer to the plant... then put in 1x11Watt 2700k and 1x11Watt 6500k in the double socket on the roof all i had left around the house...lol..


we'll see how this goes...

now the output is 145Watts actual output equivalent to 540Watts or so...
split is now 62Watts 6500k and 83Watts 2700k.

hahaha damn thats a lot of lights but yeah there you go. i like the new set up. lights all around the plant, thatll be great for her (hopefully a her). if not then go to lowes and get a clamp light for like $7 or whatever and use them, seems to work.

Looking excellent for on low budget. Plant is beautiful. I myself started low budget and added as I went.

I'll throw in a pic of my ghetto setup(low budget unite!)

nice looking plant man. you can go to lowes and get some 65 watt cfls. I just got some for my grow and im loving them.
An added bonus that i have noticed is that the temps seems to stay lower than having say 5 or 6 27 watts cfls.
I think you can get them at 2700k and 6500k although my lowes only has the 2700k which is really all you need.

i know its alot of lights... but i gotta go with the budget and what the stores in my small town carry...lol

and mine is definatly a she.. already got pistils...
