this sucks

dunno what happennd, my dwc setup has worked so well for the last 8 weeks, now one of my 4 foot northern lights beauties is dying, shriveling up dead, luckily my 6foot is fine, i just dont get why it happened so fast, leaves turnd yellow with purple stems, now they are completely crunchy and dried up, their is maybe 2 branches left and i know they will be gone by today, the roots are brown, and the plant went from drinking 2-3 gallons a day to drinking nothing, i dnt get it, i always have ph set 5.5-5.8, and now it spikes up to 8.5 in 24 hours, any ideas? this is devastating me, i think it was probably heat related,:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

Wait are you using a recirculating DWC system? If you are and only one plant is dying You have a problem with that bucket only. Could be that the plant is just sick.

not sure about res temp, its not recirculating, just a 5 gal bucket with airstone, i know the temp is realy high now, one huge factori forgot to mention was that these were indoors, and due to recent living arangements i moved them outdoors! i am in the middle of getting a new room setup, dwc and outdoors does not mix, im going to clone from the last living branches, mayb e get a nice recovery from them, the rest of the plant is history,no algea in res, just strait up brown roots, my theory is that heat caused the water to be less oxygenated, also heat raised ph, locked out all nutrients, and the roots pretty much sat in a hot batch of chemical burn. i have rinsed them, and gave it a new mix, what would you think about soapy water on routes?

Sorry to hear about the CD. My guess is that the sun beating on your res boiled your roots especially if you have a black bucket for growing. That water probably hit 100F+ and just like you thought, poof, no oxy and that's all she wrote. Best of luck holding things together during the build!

well i just put the biggest into flower, it is in a climate controled 68 degree room, but its still showing yellowing drooping leaves with purple stems, when i change res it has broken down stems in cloudy water, im going to be so sad if i lose this one too, i have put so much money and effort into this dwc style, it has given me so much trouble over ebb and flo, and soil, i guess im just venting, i dont know what to do
