thoughts about a patient

Ok so I have this possible patient that is 19yrs if age waiting for his card to come in the mail. He lives with his parents and claims that his parents are okay with him using medical marijuana. He suffers from chronic back pain. Should i shun away from signing up somone that is 19? Is their somthing i should be looking out for with this young of a patient? or to each his own ? My only problem with this is, i dont want to see somone that is so young to get caught up in spending all his time medicating. I feel bad for his genunine pain and explained that all the meds will do is take his mind off the pain and not heel him in any way. He claims hes been smoking for quite some time. I dont know? But then i also think who am i to deprive somone with a genunine ailment? Please share you thoughts....

over 18... if hes old enough to die... hes old enough to get high

If he's going to spend all his time medicating there is nothing you can do. If you don't supply him with meds he'll go elsewhere. It's up to him to live a productive life.

Yea if he is eligible for a card there is no reason to not be his caregiver better this then him getting hooked on pain killers!

You may consider a mutual interview process to better understand what exactly you are looking for from each other. I would be somewhat concerned exactly how the meds are being handled and make it clear that they are never intended for resale or third parties. As far as a 19 yr olds decisions about their life... ultimately they are responsible for the outcome... that should be old enough to make decent choices.

If the boy has become a man, he is ready. your job is to test him to see if he meets quota. then make your choice.

Thanks everyone, im going to wait to get gets his card and go from their. he wanted a sample with out a card and i refused him. i him im 100% by the book and he would never catch me stepping in a grey area. I showed him some pics of my meds and hes content on waiting for his card to get a sample. Thanks again for everyones response
