the blossom on the beefsteak is 3x the size of anything in my garden I'm thinking it's going to produce large tomatoes the homestead although shorter & stockier is starting to develop blooms as well getting a lot of fun out of this image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

it's funny I've grown tomatoes off & on most of my adult life but I've never fully understand their lifecycle it seems like they are auto flowers as I planted the homestead about 1 week behind the beefsteak from seed & true to form I've got my first homestead tomato about a week behind the beefsteak so now in hydro I've got 6 beefsteaks & 1 homestead I'm starting to enjoy thisimage.jpeg

trimmed a lot of the damaged growth the beefsteak is producing more tomatoes than I can count somewhere close to a dozen & I keep finding more next year I'm gonna start seeds in early February image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

Your tomatoes look great. I tried hydro tomatoes outside last year. It turned into work. I made the mistake of doing 10 in 5 gal buckets... i ended up giving away flats of tomatoes.
